Please, so objective. Really, people who link that poll should know the facts.
1.Made before changes were actually made, only announced.
2. A small amount of people pretty much spam voted that poll by making multis. Quite obvious to see if had actually been there when the poll was made. NOT becoming blind and just saying it proves anything AFTER it was posted here trying to make a BS argument.
Female Amani and Female Popori weren't present in selection at that time
ok. so basically apart from the head concept pictures there weren't any actual elin or female aman in game at that time and the supposed hype came from the announcement of an anime-like little girl race alone.
just to confirm that my memory serves me right.

I know I always download mods for MMOs and risk the possibility of getting banned to view changes made to player characters that I have no interest in playing. Who doesnt?
well, someone has posted a video of oneself sporting the mods on these forums, so i guess there is hardly much fear about getting banned in a BETA, especially if you are sitting on just a lousy weekend beta account.
@noxillian: err, that poll is most probably from the time just after Mr. Knox announced the changes in his interview, i i remember correctly, when sankaku and 4chan communities were storming the forums in full force. it's a simple matter of target audience, as stated often. you think 400 or 2,5k people matter, EnMasse might target 100k or maybe even half a million users who are not very fond of certain contents for whatever reasons.
btw, 900 downloads for elven and human mods each, when the site admin states pretty clearly that you won't see any nipples because there are no showing due to how the clothes cover the body? that's pure curiosity right there, from 900 people to see wth is going on with their own eyes.
so much about these numbers, imo.
So what you are saying is we actually need to see the changes before we can decide if something needs changing? So if a car company decided that my wheels should be square, I should wait and purchase the square wheels before deciding if my round wheels are good enough and time and money does not need investing in fixing something that is not broke to begin with? Is that your argument?

Gross misuse of comparison.
Please try to be a little better at making a point.

during the biggest riots people were purposedly speading misinformation letting other assume that elin themselves will be changed - ie getting ears and tails removed, instead of getting just some armour adjustments. that was hardly a good basis for a meningful discussion or votes/polls.

Thats irrelevant because its still against the EULA which means they are reserving the right to ban you legally anytime they so wish it, in other words, they can legally stab you in the back the moment they no longer need you. Obviously EME would be suicidal to ban people during the beta for something like Elin mods using the original authentic game files before charges and subscriptions go out.
Your account is tied to your email address and its the same account you would most likely be playing from when the game launches. Between the preorders and beta keys handed I would hazard a guess that most people preordered and their current account is their live TERA account. So getting banned would still be a rather large risk to view something you are only just curious about. I could imagine 10 people on the entire internet that would go through that much trouble just out of curiosity.
So any other angles you want to try since you refuse to admit that your entire point of view is being built on failed logic?

The fact is players that were playing elins here were painted over here with a bunch of nasty accusations amidst all the trolling that was going on in the sides. And as mentioned before, there are folks here who simply do not like 'animu' or animu-related things and want to purge anything 'animu' like from Tera. Just check out one of the official TeraPodcast's streams for example.
Could you provide the date in which that poll was made? And the announcement of the changes?
How do you know that poll was spammed by alts? Elin is still an issue debated today inside and outside these forums so the numbers may vary.
