So what I'm getting right now is that WoW's EULA regarding mods will get you whenever it feels like as opposed to NATERA's EULA which will get you on the spot?

Now you see the reason why I would prefer it to be all official and clean cut is because they can use the optional KTERA patch assets to build up their public image as a company that offers choice to the player on such a controversial subject.

In any case I'm going to bed... it is 2 hours too late for me to stay up discussing this kind of thing.

Well I would agree that making it all official would suit me better too im just tossing around ideas. More options is always better. The bottom line for me is I dont want to be banned, ever, for using the better Elin option. I would also like them to show enough respect for their users to stop flashing that dagger in their jacket.

That sounds like a good idea. Maybe EME/BHS can make the original Elin armors it a purchasable DLC. But it may require you to be 18+ and an age verification to allow you to download the installer that includes the files. However if they were to do that would TERA still have an M rating?

I would feel a little mad for being charged for the originals but if it was cheap and it covered the costs of the development of the NA Elin and made the whole thing possible, I would be willing to pay an extra 5 bucks for it. Would also give you an idea of how important it is to Elin players.

Been jumping around other forums and from what I understand there are at least over 2.5k US/EU Elin players stating that they are dissatisfied with EME's decision to alter the Elins and express that by downloading a mod to revert them back to the KTERA armors.

Furthermore, that is the reason I plan to play this game via monthly installments. There is no way I am paying for 6 months when 3 months in they could decide to stab me in the back. God I get to sick gaming companies stabbing their most loyal fans in the back to appeal to the mass market. EME is already flashing the knife at me.

The fact is players that were playing elins here were painted over here with a bunch of nasty accusations amidst all the trolling that was going on in the sides. And as mentioned before, there are folks here who simply do not like 'animu' or animu-related things and want to purge anything 'animu' like from Tera. Just check out one of the official TeraPodcast's streams for example.


You've used the ONE example of ONE person not liking anime influence around ONE THOUSAND times.

I love anime but I still think Elins should've been censored.

- I believe there are a lot more Elin players here in this forums (as well as others) that are against the "censored" armors but refrain from being vocal about it.


And I believe hundreds of thousands of potential Tera players would be weirded out by little girls wearing thongs in their MMO.

Since neither of us has any proof, we'll say I'm right because I used a bigger number.

A button which allows players to switch between the original armors and the modified ones would have gone a long way to pleasing both sides of this issue. Too bad even after 2 years they couldn't figure out a way to implement that.


1. The change issue has only been around for a year, not 2.
2. It's never been a issue of them not being able to figure out how to implement a button like that. They've simply refused to and shot down the thought of it countless times.
