You do realize that within the first few months of the game everyone will be using new content armor that was likely made with modesty in mind that won't have the bad looks of the armor that was changed right? Well besides people who make alot of alts but the leveling is so fast they won't be stuck with the old armors very long.
i haven't actually had a chance to get into the game yet, but isn't there an aesthetic option that would let you wear cloths and turn armor off?
Or even let you choose which set of armor you want to see while keeping the stats of the armor you want to use? (kind of like Terraria)

Isnt that new armor around 60 though? Thats a long time to be stuck staring at ugly gear. Some people might rush to the end as fast as they can but i doubt a huge amount will. Besides that would just start up a whole new argument based around end game boredom. Rushing to the end for better quality armor seems like a bad idea to me.
There is a feature for reskinning armor with the looks of other armor yes. Although with how much people hate the look of the changes I can't imagine them using that feature on any of the new armor that's added to the game. Also ehh no there isn't a feature for turning off armor. If you take off your armor you're just wearing what looks like the first set of armor you started with. There's no underwear or full cosmetic outfits in the game yet.

Of course it's a bad idea. It's a even worse idea for the company to have it be so easy to level when there isn't a sufficient amount of endgame content yet but unfortunately that hasn't stopped them. Bugged the crap out of me that in the korean version one of the biggest complaints was lack of endgame content and yet for like 4+ updates in a row in every update they were actually making leveling even faster as if that some how improved anything.
With the reskinning take the armor with the stats you need and break the armor with the look you want to put its look onto the armor with the better stats. Unfortunately you can only do this with the armor type your class can use. Which is annoying because light armor in general across all races just don't look as good as the robes and heavy armor and I thought the idea of warrior or slayer wearing robes that look like trench coats would of been awesome >.>
The korean version is just now adding cosmetic hats etc. they've just been busy working on higher priority endgame content. They'll add more cosmetic and fluff content soon I'm sure.
So then what'll you do if even after 2 years they still won't change their mind? Or better yet what'll you do if they actually do improve the quality and design of the changes in the next few months after they've finished what they're very likely doing (preparing the game for launch and working on important new content)?
I said before that improvements/better designs of the Elin armors within the next few months (or even several) is not realistic. Those armors were a product of years of designing and were subject to numerous revisions. Granted that those armors in question don't need to be redesigned from the ground up. But to design them for a specific target audience (westerners) and with at least the same amount quality isn't going to happen anytime soon if ever at all. And judging by that hash job BHS did with those copy paste diaper shorts it doesn't look like they're that interested in giving us quality. If that's how much they worked on within the past year since those changes were announced I have no confidencein them that they will make any improvements.
The company was busy localizing the game and working on new content along with dealing with constant harrassment and lawsuits from NC Soft, and losing the leader of the company. I highly doubt they were working on those changes 100% of the time or even 50% of the time during that year considering how they turned out.

Off topic a lil bit but do you have any proof that they lost their company head? I have heard people say they did but i have also heard others say that was just a rumor. I do know they got sued of course, thats easy to find online.
I've seen the "no clothes" texture. But with these kinds of things it is always hard to tell if it is a mod, or if it is just how KTera was in beta and then changed, or if it is something on the way. (The chances it was on the way is nil though, considering it was underwear on an Elin)
