Off topic a lil bit but do you have any proof that they lost their company head? I have heard people say they did but i have also heard others say that was just a rumor. I do know they got sued of course, thats easy to find online.

It was in a news article some time last year. One of the big leaders of the company was suffering from some pretty bad depression due to all the harassment from NC Soft and ended up quitting. His position was taken over by one of the richest people in korea though.

Oh wait actually I think someone from the art department took over his position but I think I saw something about one of the richest people in korea joining the company or something around that time.

The company was busy localizing the game and working on new content along with dealing with constant harrassment and lawsuits from NC Soft, and losing the leader of the company. I highly doubt they were working on those changes 100% of the time or even 50% of the time during that year considering how they turned out.

And they will continue to be busy with other matters of TERA even after NA's launch and the lawsuit against them ends. Redesigning the Elin armors is simply not in BHS's priority. The armor designers are also busy developing new designs for upcoming patches and requesting them to redesign about half of the Elin armors is still a daunting task. EME even probably just asked BHS to just cover the Elin's crotch and waist areas and they didn't care how they did it.

EME could have simply have avoided all this if censoring the Elin armors was a non-issue and unnecessary. But they let their own insecurities dictate their already lack of better judgement. And I really don't buy on the reason censoring the Elin was simply to expand their audience. There are other ways of doing that without having tamper with the original designs.

I'm sure the armor designers are busy, and if they'd done a proper job of of the Elin censors in the first place we wouldn't be asking them to do it again. But they didn't, and we are.

As I've said before originally the designs of the changes were described as tights and gothic stockings. But due to the massive amounts of complaints from the Elin fans somewhere down the line they scrapped those designs and went with minimalist short shorts because that's pretty much the closest thing to exposed panties without being exposed panties. They may very well of had some pretty nice designs for the changes but due to so many complaints of "keep the original" before they had even seen them, since they weren't going to keep the original they tried to keep the changes as close to the original as possible which translated into extending the panties into short shorts.

I'd agree with you, if we weren't being entirely ignored.

En Masse is doing a pretty good job of showing they don't much care what we think, they're going to do their own thing and that's that. If the original plan had been tights and gothic stockings I have a hard time believing any amount of player feedback would have changed their minds on the issue. At least, if it did then - it certainly doesn't appear to now.

And of course people are going to cry if you tell them you're "censoring" their media. En Masse knew full well that was going to happen before they ever made the announcement. That's no excuse for doing a shoddy job of it.

The announcement was a complete accident. Don't think they had any intention of announcing it. At least not until they were done. Also the reason they haven't been listening to feedback is because they said they aren't accepting feedback until the changes are finished in their current state. Which apparently isn't until at least open beta according to them.

Nothing is getting changed other than the Elins. Why do you ask? Also if it's about that supposed nipple censorship it's been proven to be false information caused by a modding site countless times.

Didnt they also say once its finished they wont be changing it again? So no feedback until its finished, but that feed back wont be listened to anyway.

Thats like saying they want our feedback but they wont listen to it until the game releases. What was beta for then?

Scratch that, they already said during a podcast that the betas mostly for hype.

I mailed support about this and they sent me a reply back saying the changes are considered final. Now maybe they misinterpreted my question and were replying that the decision to censor was final, not the quality of the armors - but I don't think so.

Regardless, if that's the case, En Masse could save us all a lot of trouble if someone official left a reply saying that the changes aren't finalized yet and that they'd like feedback AFTER closed beta.

Where exactly did they say these things? I haven't seen any of that.
