The more adamant that someone is against Elins for their looks is most likely attributed to their repression of arousal to Elins. In other words, if they could fap to sprites that look like children they probably would. But of course, they believe that this is quite horrendous and is socially unacceptable. And in order to prove to themselves that they do not hold these beliefs, they make sure out-lash at subjects such as the childish qualities of the Elin.

i agree with the above, not just for this "issue" but for many things in society.

Solution to the ppl who QQ over the Elin and the ppl playing them.. go play wow or GW2, from what I can see everything is very civilized there, grown up toons, nothing 'bad' showing. Wow is probably safer for them as far as the cross gender players go...

I played an Elin for about 10min; didn't care for it. I don't really care if they're "pedobait" or not I just felt silly flouncing around in a little sundress. Might give it a shot again as a heavily armored class.
As for the censorship I was totally on the modding wagon until I played the game, then I stopped caring. Maybe my screen is too small but I was never zoomed in enough to really notice what kind of undies the Elin around me were sporting.

GW2 does have this ugly "little girl" gnome characters that looks like it has "the-downs"

Hey MonkeyKingWobWo, just thought I should tell you that calling someone the P-word is against the forum rules, just thought I'd give you a heads up since I'm a nice person.
What I still think is hilarious are the people playing Castanics thinking that they are some how more 'developed' then the Elin even though they are only a half-a-foot taller, simply because they have 'boobs' and a 'grown-up' face, isn't that the exact definition of jail-bait, you know looks old enough but really isn't. Yeah, Elin are loli's, that was kind of the point, but by lore (which is more important than your opinion), they are immortal, thus ageless.Heck, even I know they were originally going to be female Popori (go check the texture files, they are named F Popori).
I do think one thing could have prevent all of this though, giving them fur, like some pictures of cat-girls, they are covered in fur except for the face, hands, and feet, and that they should have removed the human ears. Granted that defeats the purpose of the 'loli' character, but heck, if they were supposed to be female Popori that makes a lot more sense to me.

You do realize people see different things, depending on their personality, right? Only really twisted and paranoid people see a sexualized child.
Us others just see them as regular innocent children that makes you squeal and want to hug them.
So why the need for panties? That is the thing, there is no need for panties. But what we need is show people that there is no need for censorship. That is the main issue. And only way to show that everyone that are normal are fine with panties... is by restoring the panties.
Do observe that there is still nobody forcing YOU to have panties. We only need to allow the "normal" people to have them, so that you realize that you are the odd one, and should perhaps rethink your opinions.
In other words, we are back at the toggle solution.
None of this would be an issue if people also weren't saying how they have no sexual desire for these child-like avatars, but then turn around and demand they revert the models back to having thongs and lingerie.
If you're attracted to little girls in bikinis and lingerie, just either say it or don't bring it up in any way. You'll never convince anyone you are not pedo by demanding these children avatars have super sexualized clothing reinstated in the game, no matter how much mental gymnastics you attempt to do
