Possible Censoring solution

Well, we all know from the massive responses on the forums that many people are unhappy with the NA Censoring of the armors in Tera.
So my proposal:
Why not create an option in the menu to enable Original armor or the censored ones.

Reasoning:
there already is a slider to determine the amount of gore in the game which is a slight filter on the M rating they already have, and the rating already presents that this game has Suggestive themes. So why not give the players the option the determine how suggestive their armors are?
Personally, I got the game because I was impressed by the fantasy themed armor and that they didn't portray any 'Westernization' to the models in the game, however once I booted up the game, I was slightly disappointed to find out that in fact, they still westernized it.

Also I find that it is unfair to players to deny them certain content baised on the region that they reside in. People have payed money for this game and I feel that they should have full access to all content provided for this game.

As far as I'm aware, the only censoring is in the Elin armors. I don't think anything else was changed.

Human, Elf, Castanic, and Elin have all been censored. It is just that the Elin censors are heavily noticeable since they don't only just give them boyshorts, they also take away mid-drift and such. Also don't help that the original Elin armor is popular.

And before you say Castanic? It is the upper portion of them that is censored.
Still is funny that they leave the Castanic as seductive and censor out the other races.

Edit: Elin is the only one censored out.

Only a very loud few care about the Elin clothing.

What exactly constitutes as "Westernizing" the armor? The game itself is still visually anime medieval fantasy themed. Knights in shining armor and elfs are very Tolkien like which is Western. I dont think plated thongs counts as Eastern, but theyre still in the game very much so.

Personally, Id love it if I could have more options with armor. A female lancer could have actual heavy armor as opposed to a bikini for instance. Maybe then the sexist attitude wouldnt leave such a bitter taste and I could play some female toons for once.

People act like censorship is %100 evil. Media changes all the time depending on the culture. The Chinese changed WoW so bones wouldnt show up in the game, and Tera was altered a bit becase people here want the youngest looking race with a little more clothing. Everyone else is still sporting plate bikinis.

And if youre talking about EME censoring the nipples, that was proven to be a fan mod. There are no exposed nipples on player toons in all games.

For me, Westernizing is the act of removing content in certain regions (mainly NA) from games that have been released in multiple regions, causing a content difference.
also, you point out that the game is anime themed, which in anime, provocative outfits are very dominate in that genre

The reasoning for changing bones in china is that The showing of bones in considered Taboo in China, which would have caused many people to not have gotten it. That is a culturally accepted fact over there and they had to change that or lose a vast majority of that region. In here, giving the races their original armors is not considered Taboo, and wouldn't cause a majority of the players to not play the game.

By giving the players the option to CHOOSE, then it satisfies both sides of the argument, and we wouldn't have this issue anymore

Also, I could care less about the upper portions, it mostly the boy shorts that really bugs me.

Is there any proof to armor being censored? It should only be Elin that have any kind of censoring. Looking at screenshots of K-Tera and what I've seen in our Tera, the armors look the same.

I had read this article and the picture had lead me to believe that all the races were censored.
However I take back that other races were censored, just people modded them to have different appearances.

The same 10 people posting constantly about it on the forums != many people are unhappy.

I'm sorry that it annoys you but most people don't care about this issue. Hell, most people don't even know about this issue. And it you brought it to their attention most would be like "Urm, you are arguing you need to have thongs on Elins or Tera is unplayable? Really." *steps back slowly*

I read in another thread that KTera is a beautiful game and EME has ruined it with their censoring. Absurd. NA Tera is a beautiful game.

Seriously, take a step back. Just because you found a dozen people on the internet that agree with you doesn't make it an "everyone knows" situation. There are things I like or want to see in a game that I know 99.99% of the gaming population doesn't want or doesn't care about. It's does wonders for my inner calm to recognize those situation and not expect things to go my way.
