I've read a number of threads and seen videos that show the castanic male slayer has longer range for the 4x combo attack. I tested it myself and he does end up further down at the end of the fourth attack. I didn't test any of the skills however as it never occured to me that it could be different.
Has anyone tested the range of each race/sex for the primary slayer skills like knockdown, overhand and whirlwind?
It may be a minute before you hear any news regarding this, since there were only a few days to play and most people weren't worried about metrics. Same with when the game is out, you may not see too much data being poured out until people hit max levels on their main characters.
There are videos and threads on this yes, but who's to say it won't change with a patch? The ranges from what I've seen are fairly negligible in most cases, but if you want to stay on the safe side then just make a male castanic. Otherwise, pick what you like and hope the ranges get normalized for real.

That goes against what a lot of players are reporting seeing from last week's beta weekend event.
All along the devs were saying that hitboxes were somewhat normalized but not all equal. I think they also talked about attack ranges also being close but not equal.
Was there any official post anywhere saying they have normalized all of this?
Elgin zerks also have the largest dead zone with their Thundering Strikes.
I'd like to know this as well. The evidence for Zerkers and Lancers is pretty convincing that some races have fairly significant advantages in the animation ranges. I would consider having an extra 1m + range on some key abilities a much better racial ability than most of the actual racials.
