Unnecessary and Inconsistent Elin Armour Changes

During CBT5 I wanted to experience the other Elin armour. Played an Elin Archer and couldn't comprehend whoever picked out the armour to be changed was thinking at the time. Did they randomly draw them out from a hat?

So this one is still really cute. The bows on the pants and the stitched textures are l♥vely. But what's with the shiney purple skin? So they are riding down on the right hip and I understand that some people in NA may burst their left ventricle at the thought of such a thing.

So what about this armour? It's riding down on the right hip as well, but has been left with the original Korean armour.

So the solution I would think would be to pull the pants up higher on the hips yeah?
Like this? But even that isn't good enough apparently. A weird belly texture needed to be added.

So make the armour longer and make sure no belly is showing at all, right!? Nope!
Shorts still need to be added that clip right through the rest of the armour. I mean honestly. This is longer than the cloth/robe dresses and almost reaching her knees and those same shorts were added. It wouldn't be a problem since they are under the armour, but since they are clipping through it is a problem. One that EME needs to address. Really, there was nothing wrong with this armour in the first place. It's long, there's no excessive skin or belly showing and yet the shorts were added anyway, creating a problem that wasn't there to begin with.

And yet there are underage Castanics in the game wearing a shirt, panties and stockings.

Everyone can see that more work needs to be done on the armour whether they are going to play an Elin or not. Even players who don't like the Elin have stated that it was poorly done. Brian Knoxx stated that the changes were done by the same artists at BHS and took the same amount of time. Maybe they were done by the same BHS artists - but there's no way it took the same amount of time as a full set of armour from stratch - or the same amount of effort. That's just trying to pull the wool over a wolf's eyes and call it a sheep.

EME are spending time and money on New Voice Acting and are putting in a New Prologue Zone, so I don't see why it's been this difficult to revise a small handful of Elin armour. And it is only that. A small handful of armour. Most of the changes have been good. Even an improvement on the Korean armours.

The general voice acting in TERA is awful. You watch a cutscene once and then skip it the next time. It's a small part of the game. Armour is in your face from the moment you log into the game. The feedback to there not being anything exciting to do until level 20 was to include a BAM earlier on (~level 15) or one on the IoD. Not to add a starter zone...............to the bloody starter zone!

In the unlikelyhood that EME revises the small handful of Elin Armour that do need revising or at the very least fixing the issues from making the changes, feel free to leave some feedback on what you would like to get revised/improved/add detail to. Add a screenshot and explain the issues you're finding and how to improve it.

While i agree with you, currently this issue can be 'got around' by simply downloading and applying korean texture files and korean or japanese voice sound files. (many many many people have done this, dont worry about bans, EME would loose to much money if they did ban people)

Secondly, the addition of a new start zone should help, i cant see how they would add the new zone ontop of the IoD, the leveling would be out of wack, However if they re-done the IoD along with this new zone , it may well be possible that a BAM may make an apperance.

I gotta say.

When i first heard about Tera over a year ago, i knew i would buy it, then the CBT's came along, iv been in all of them, both Eu and NA, and irght now..i DONT want ot buy Tera.
However, that being said, i still reserve final judment till after OBT when we finaly see the game we might be buying.

Defuya, the first of the two leather armors that you are citing for peculiar censorship actually had the strap of what was possibly underwear in the area that was censored. A good reference of what I'm talking about would be Rikku of Final Fantasy X-2, but it's possible that the strap was there to somehow help in holding up her pants (an example being the main character, Raguna's, swim trunks in Rune Factory Frontier, but that's more difficult to find a picture of). Whatever the strap was, that armor was really the only one that someone could legitimately have grounds to label as potentially including a thong which is clearly unacceptable to the sensitive Western eye. You can still see the strap underneath of the cover which looks really bad. Thanks for pointing that out along with the shorts clipping horribly through that longer dress. Would it even be possible to zoom in up the skirt of that armor? o.O Certainly, no one who wasn't playing the character in that armor would be able to see anything, so that's just meddling in someone else's business, really. Also, thanks for pointing out that Castanic kid; I'd either never seen or noticed them, and it adds insult to injury in this fiasco of double-standards.

And the result:

CAST INQUIRER: Meeting your Castanic racial news needs!
Top Headline: Diaper shorts booming fashion trend among young Castanic!

But in all seriousness, EME/BHS - please fix the censored Elin armors. And I say "fix", not "upgrade" or somesuch because they're obviously broken. Terrible aesthetics aside, they're undeniably broken.

I don't know where the thong business came from but nobody is wearing one except for maybe castanics. Yeah, they didn't even bother to alpha out/delete the strap. It was just globbed over with the paint bucket like the rest.

The same cheap looking shorts were copy pasted on the new armor sets the QoA patch added too. Zero improvements, they don't care enough to bother.

Hmm don't know how many times it's been asked of EME to fix the garbage armor that was set into the game.

Add stupid politics to it and suddenly one part of your own product is not worth making it look good? What EME has done to this game is no reflection on any other games, or standard of games in the gaming industry. Just because one company decides to do a flop job on one part of their product doesn't mean others have or will on other games or products.

Tera is an awesome korean game. This is why this is so pathetic of them to do what they did to the elin armor and a *total* disregard of the players who log in and have to see such a poor job.

Don't see why a toggle-option would have been such a problem, for those who don't want the messed up non-original version and the ones who want the messed up, censored clipping version.

And that midget castanic right there? Nice one EME, the hypocrisy level is unbelievable. Just continue to lock up customer posts about it as you've done in the past, since they *all* must be convicted felons simply asking for better looking armors in a video-game. An fictional video-game set in an imaginary world, btw.

Sorry but I don't buy that b.s. that's been put out about elin one bit'

The game itself.

Heavy 1, 2, 3. Robe 2, 3.

The second heavy armor would be painfully noticeable ingame.

Wouldn't be surprise if they all clipped and stuck out badly either

my opinion, the armor should not have been changed in the first place.. Why listen to all these weird people complaining about this in the first place? Is anyone in Korea complaining? Are we so stuck up with 'moral'?
Anyways, I hope they have this fixed soon. BTW, I am Aman, not Elin but I don't see anything wrong with the way it was with the armor..
