Who else picked Elin mostly to disturb other people?

That is because you are looking at the result, and not the discussion. If you look at the discussion, it becomes clear that it is a simple case of two opinions, and EME choosing one over the other. Normally this would not be an issue, since if the options are "Yes or No" you got to pick one. But in this case the options were "Use KTera textures, censor, or do both". The "both" part is where EME screwed up royally.

Nothing prevents people from using the textures they want, except the ToS. And the ToS is EME's choice, which means the only thing standing between "everyone is happy" is EME themselves.

Again, shorts doesn't matter. What matters is that instead of appealing to all customers, EME chose to sort people into "Desired customers" and "Undesired customers".


I can agree with those views, both of them i hate the shorts but also understand good business sense. My opinion they should just add a toggle button on the elin designs to make every body happy.

Except that it is not possible to appeal to all customers. Like it or not, even having an option for both, people would have complained that the option was even presented.

I'm not trying to argue with you on the fact that they failed and keep failing on the thing that could make this all better in the eyes of most reasonable people on both sides. Honestly, them following Frogster and saying "yeah, we aren't officially allowing an option, but we won't ban you for using Korean Textures" would fix things up perfectly.



BUT, you'll still have those that will whine and complain for needing to do extra work. You'll still have people complain and insult them for even having the censorship option to begin with. You'll still have those complaining that the Korean Textures should be the default and not the other way around, etc...



Also, if you were actually talking about the part you quoted me on, it's not just looking at the end result. He sees "an adorable charactor waiting to bust into the world and kicking some but", I see a little girl with sass, attitude with some good (Slayer) and bad (Warrior) ways of handling weapons. Different strokes for different folks, as long as those strokes are pleasure for the folks. ;)

The important part is that you can tell reasonable from unreasonable opinions. EME keeps worrying me that they are incapable of telling the difference.

I find, Elin a-freaking-dorable. LIke i find puppies and kittens adorable. I am not turned on by puppies and kittens, i am not turned on by Elin. I understand that this is a video game, and that just like FPS player != Murderer, Elin player != pedo.

Not even slightly uncomfortable with even the original ktera Elin.

people worried about sexualizing children need to go look at beauty pagents where you have actual preteens prancing around in bikinies and dressed up like sluts rather than worry that a video game's ficticious cartoon character will make people lust after children.

Yeah, those things are sad, scary and sometimes sick... but the parents of these kids are thinking that it's "beautiful" and "empowers" their kids with "girl power". For kids that young that, many times, are shown to hate what they do... it does nothing good.

First: My mom is 5 years older then my dad, my GF is 3 years older then me.. I am 24...
Second: My dad like's good graphics as much as the next guy.. also for him it's all pixels even if the Elin was running in the nude.
Third: if High school DxD, can get on NA TV uncensored.. all the Elin changes are unjustified.




I think you're missing the point. It's not a personal attack, and the fact that you seem to be taking it as such makes me wonder if you have your own personal reservations. You seem way too defensive.

I even said in my original post I don't think the armor changes were necessary.

correct, and enmasse has stated that they won't be witchhunting those who do mod as long as they don't really make a big deal out of it (IE screenshots/videos highlighting the difference, directions how to change it, ect).

But just be advised that it is still in violation of the ToS and is a Bannable offense.

Skipping most of this thread, as it seems like a troll is out to troll, and others are just feeding the troll. People shouldn't be bothered by what a person chooses to play in a game, even if it happens to be a little girl race. Who cares, it's a game.

I have an Elin character, and I play her for one reason. The dance animation is so ridiculously cute. Not because I think I'm going to make someone cringe when I group with them. That's a silly notion, and a really dumb reason to play something, at least in my opinion.
