I'm only being half serious here, but why is EME purposely suppressing the Elin and Popori race from almost all of their marketing materials? I guess the answer is obvious but I thought it was strange considering the popularity of the races and kind of funny... Guess they're not MMO-FO enough!

Examples:

Popori and Elin not featured in the cover art for the game
Popori and Elin not featured in convention posters
Elin not featured in NA cinematic shown when you launch the game
Popori and Elin not featured in any of the official screenshots in the Media section of the website

Every single race except Popori and Elin are featured in the new Temple of Dagon trailer and the Gamescon 2011 trailer:

Why do you think? The obvious reason : They're scared of people seeing them and thinking "gross anime, not buying that game". But I've seen a leaked trailer a few months back anf it covered all races, elin and all. My guess the OB trailer?

They are used as background fodder in the political trailer though. I guess that's a start.

Its almost as En Masse are ashamed for this race, or just hiding them from people that make a big deal of anything of the likes to the Elin to not draw attention to themselves for the wrong reasons, as they are not even in the fan site kits

Let's face it, Korean mmos do not have a good track record with the mass gaming public for western mmos. And nothing screams korean mmo port than nymph girls and plush animal characters.

They want the game to be mainstream in the west. So they advertise the game with the races that fit a western aesthetic. It's just a marketing strategy.

The Elin is completely left out of the European fansite kit as well. Every race is there but Elin.

Although, it would be funny if B&S becomes more popular than TERA in here since that game is way to eastern. xD

It's just marketing but I think it's kinda lame the way they hide an entire race for the sake of making a "good impresion"
