But its ok for the men to be playing females of other races? Not trying to start a fight or anything, that just doesnt make sense.

Besides if there was a male elin then those men would be able to play male versions of the race. And as i understand it most of the elin fans are female.

I would much rather see a new race then male Elin which are basically Popori but more human.


I agree with that too, but i could see em goin for the male elin just because half the work is already done. They would just take the elin they have now an copy an build off that model to be more male. But i dont see them adding a new race either.


That is one thing I would never want a developer do, take the easy route - If they going add new playable race they should do it right from ground up.

But still Popori are the male Elin, and they pretty cute, or at least this is how I see it.

After all isn't the Elin and Popori town called Poporia or something along those lines?

If it is that would be kind of weird, seeing as how the elin came first in lore. But i do think they were supposed to be called popori so in that case it makes sense. I wonder why it was changed.

Of course a mithra an a male/female elin have nothing in common other then ears an tail. The style of art is way different.


FFXIV had male mithras on their update chart. Apparently all the whining from FFXI and FFXIV made them give up and add them.

I'm still not sure what people want male mithras. I see it as min-maxers who worry about their sexuality if they play a girl character, and yaoi-fans who somehow have come into contact with catboy porn.

I'm not sure what I think about it. It at least does not make me more interested in buying the game.

Hmm never knew they planned to do male versions of the mithras. But from what i remember from the ff14 lore, they were in the game. Just never seen, they stayed in their town or something. Personally i like seeing male versions of the catgirl. Just for the different aspect of it. I dont think i would play one though, not when i could just play the female version.

I have actually been tempted to try ff14 out again after this last big patch, the game still isnt great but its something to do.

As for male elin i really dont see how it bring in more fans an more money could possibly be a bad thing. So what if those fans enjoy the more odd forms of fan art or manga.

Wow what a hypocrite. You complain when some people lump all elin fans together as pedos but then try to say people who want to play male Elin or Mithras are yaoi fans?
