Hi, I don't know where to put this and haven't been able to find any other post regarding this question. Does the starting armor you pick in character creation play any effect on what your armor looks like in the future?

No, you don't even choose armor during character creation. The outfits (except the first one) are just previews so you can see how you might look in higher-level gear. You will start the game wearing the first outfit.

It's also a wonderful way to preview how horrible the forced hair changes will look on your female characters to "avoid clipping".
