Greetings one and all! Tomorrow begins the start of your new adventures. Have you taken steps to prepare yourself?
As of this writing, you are now able to log on and patch Tera Online. You can advance to the server selection screen. All servers are down, but a list of soon-to-be active servers is up. You can also adjust your various settings (UI, video, audio).
There are currently five servers listed (Arachnaea, Dragonfall, Serpentis Isle, Tempest Reach, and Frost Reach). All five are listed as PvE servers.
I would suggest (for the purpouse of starting to form an RP community during the beta) that we all consider rolling on *Tempest Reach* for this wave of testing (no huge reason why). I beleive we are all starting on a fresh slate this round, so I don't think anyone has any active characters already established elsewhere (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).
If the ability to join channels exists in this game (first time playing it for myself - although I'd wager on the ability to create your own chat-channels) then /join RP. RP can be the default 'Roleplaying chat-channel' for lore questions, araning roleplaying meets, or getting together to meet-and-greet people you may have been following on the boards for months.
For those who aren't in the know from previous playing of this game (like myself), you can form a guild on the location marked here --> http://www.terapvp.com/threads/how-to-create-a-tera-guild-guide.988/ ... at least, this is where you make it in the Korean version. :) It will cost you 3000 gold, two people must be in your gorup, and your character must be a minimum of level 8. For myself, I will be busting virtual butt to get the Roleplayers guild active - if you wish to make your own guild, you can follow the handy guide there as to how to do so. For those of you who wish to join Roleplayers or another guild, guilds can use the RP channel to start forming up and gathering members as well. Since guilds are an important part of any RP community, we should put our best foot forward and see what is right (and wrong) about them now while the opportunity to fix them still exists.
For those of you in the know better than I (new to the game as I am), feel free to suggest other things we can do to prepare for the launch of TO - closed beta. Hopefully I'll be hearing from some of you tomorrow! (I'll be in as Volumnus, no matter what character I role this wave. Unless the name is taken of course.)
