This game has all the setup for RP, its amazing how many windows and opportunities there are for roleplay in this game. But roleplay without PVP in a Live Action MMO, seems recklessly pointless.
I want to tyrannize the other Vanarchs and the people who come across my lands, I want to hold tolls on the bridges throughout Arun.
I want to sell players, forbidden items from vendors that no longer can be found.
This game MUST have pvp, especially without Battlegrounds. The ability to roleplay throughout PVP instead of paying packed in with all the trolls and 4chans and blah blah blah. Its all good, i respect them, love being part of the community. But sometimes, i gotta get my Roleplay freak on. Get away from the lolli.

I see RP-PvP with outlaws setting up for griefers that force any non combat RPers getting smashed into oblivion or packed into tight little nests. Maybe when the current RP server gets a higher population, showing greater demand for RP, they'll invest in an RP-PvP server. However, I'm not confident the demand is there quite yet.

Well see, thats where i stand against. There are ALOT of RPers in forums, vast majority are stuck playing on PVP servers because they would rather have fun in their endgame, then play on a rp server and get stuck with nothing in the end.
If the RP-PVP server went up, i assure you, alot of pvp server players would swamp it.

I certainly would.....though I still don't think we have quite enough for our own server. Either that or a lot of us simply aren't vocal about it.

This forum isn't exactly active with RP stories and what-not. If people are keeping the forum role-play to their own guild forums, they're doing it wrong if they want to show there's a strong and active RP community. NOTE: I haven't been peeking around at guild sites.

As for in game role-play, the server is populated enough, but still not at even medium strength.

The likelihood of there being a RP-PVP server is slimmer now than it was before launch. One of the reasons it was a bad idea for the RP-PVP'ers to break off and try to form up on Basilisk Crag or Jagged Coast was that without them on CH, we cannot showcase our numbers. There just isn't enough evidence to support the addition of another server for PVP, when there is already a struggling population on the RP-PVE server. Had those RP'ers who fled to the other two PVP servers stuck it out and showed we do have enough people for it, maybe it would have been different :(

I actually moved from Titan server to CH and find it much more enjoyable. I love pVp but it was getting almost impossible to level due to the greifers...they would even follow you through channels on that server...I am all for high level players gankin lowbies while there running through a zone or whatever, but when they camp the questhub and story area thay you are up to for hours on end, it is just a joke.

The RP server could certainly use a bit of PVP, though, maybe a bit of GvG and BG before another openworld "slay the quester" server.
