despite the ongoing arguments back and forth on both sides of yes we need it and no we don't. I'll throw in my 2 cents. For one I'm sure they will probably open up a RP-PVP server in the future if people really want one bad enough. But for now a single RP-PvE server should be enough to gauge the RP population. That is what I'm see this as. If the RP community is really big more will open up. But you don't want a variety of servers with a small community making the severs... dead. I'd say if your a Fan of RP but want a PvP server start off with the PvE one. built your reputation with people. If you were looking to be an assassin for hire,Street bandit for quick kills on the roads. You can still play that out, and when a real RP-PvP server opens up Sever transfer or make a new guy (proclaiming to be the same notorious person you were before) Yes now and then you will find the few people that kill and kill, but in your RP eyes think of them as a Ruthless murderer, no words are needed for the onslaught of death just the ecstasy high of death were they roam. in RP anything can happen, expect that when you do so in an MMO its not like chat forums were you can single out a few people for it, Anything can happen when everyone around you is part of your world.
So in short I'd probably like to see an RP-PvP server try out the darker sides of life making my name known as someone renowned for taking out renowned names or being someone who lurks in the dark striking down targets as he pleases.. getting a bounty on my head knowing i could be targeted at anytime :3 kinda fun and exciting if you ask me. Fun stuff but we will see in the future what happens :D
True, but in times like these if your set focused on playing the game sometimes.. you got to make due with what your given... and tbo i think they might open one up since i'm seeing a vast amount of people asking for one (don't quote me on that guess) But beggars can't be choosers so to speak, I know its hard but.. you make due, least that's what i do. I know most gaming companys will after time send more things customers want as time progresses, we can't have everything at the start, wish we could, But they are doing what they can... still month and some out before the release so we will see what pops out before then.
Gave PvE server a shot this last beta to get a feel for what a RP-PvE server was like. It was awful. No one ever at the training grounds, and the community was garbage. I find it laughable that the PvE community thinks they are "oh so mature" when it's obviously the opposite if area chat is any indication.
I'd love for there to be a RP-PvP server. It would make my game time much more enjoyable. But, essentially, I am a roleplayer and that is what will keep me in a game. A good RP community. So, hopefully we get the RP-PvP server, if not.. well, I'll be starting a guild and declaring war on other guilds... I'll get my open world pvp fix still, and then.. well, you don't have to worry about getting ganked when you just want to quest. I would LOVE a RP-PvP server... but I'm not going to complain if they don't dish one out right away.
If they give you guys a RP PVP server. Then they should also give us hardcore pvp people our own hardcore pvp ruleset server. Fair is fair imo.
