Yep, looking forward to it!

Been missing good RP for awhile.

I do think there should be both a PvE, and a PvP server, but not sure there'll be enough players to populate two dedicated servers.

This is great. It will be nice to have a place to get away from the vulgar comments about Elin and such. If CBT is any indication, the GMs and the Banhammer will be busy for a few solid weeks.

Question!

In a PvE server, is PvP completely removed? Like, can I not request to fight/duel another player's character in a PvE server at all?

Or, is the real difference that in a PvP server, you don't need permission to attack another character's player (basically, you can't turn off PvP and you can be attacked at any time)?

Thanks in advance! I am so, so, so excited for the RP server. Just...so insanely excited. This will be so new for me, and it will be fantastic - I've always wanted to RP on an MMORPG, but never found a game that cared enough to really implement an RP server with set rules so that it would be respected and taken seriously. This is just...such an absolute privilege. Thank you EnMasse, for providing my first RP MMORPG!

Just taking a moment to throw in my hat with those wanting a PVP RP server at launch.

My question is that they say they will implement these features for RP-PvE but what about PvE servers in general? If they make more /emotes for RP servers, will there be more emotes for all servers? If there's a walk feature, or custom macros implemented, it should be across all servers, including the GvG option.

There are people who still PvP on PvE servers. And there are some people who may be 60/40 about PvE and PvP so they want the best of both worlds to be available without server hopping.

All I'm saying is, these ideas are great, but just because this server is a special community for role-players doesn't mean they also get special treatment. Give other serves the perks you plan to give RP servers too.

I say this because I am not much of a role-player, but some of the perks listed in this forum does interest me, and I don't really feel quite comfortable going to a RP server when I really don't know much and/or how to role-play and would be totally out of place just to play with those perks.

Love it!
Even tho, wouldnt it be better to have a /me rather than a whole bunch of /emote that maybe ppl can't even memorize? Since its actually a very used and common command in several different platforms...

RP server! great! but I agree with many people here, an RP PvP server or PvE server with additional GvG options would be even better =)

One important aspect of RP is that a character does not go around armed and armored to the teeth 24 hours a day.

There is no "town clothes" or costuming feature and removing armor simply reverts most characters to their level 1 starting armor sets instead of underclothes. There is a gear/armor sets swapping feature in the character portrait window from what I recall, but no ability to switch between combat and civilian gear.

Along with walking, sitting in chairs and a few of the other points people have brought up, I'd love to see costuming or town clothes in the game.

I realize this means entirely new art and object assets that have to be created, but at least they could all be player-crafted.

I believe costume items will fall under the armor slot called "innerware" if you noticed it in the last closed beta. No one knew or still knows what is suppose to go in those slots, we're guessing it's a costume-like item that replaces the starter armor under the real armor if you remove it maybe.

Also in the launch schedule it says that the Earning Reputation will give you the choice of winning hat items and mounts.

EME is slowly working on these new perks, rushing it will only end bad with bugs and more complaints. All we can do is wait. Those perks sound great, though I'm not a role-player, but I look forward to them in general on the regular PvE servers.

Say you guys wouldn't be interested in adopting a few thousand rather neglected European role-players?

Absolutely love the support and attention you're getting here, lucky people!
Now if just any one of the EME team could write a nice email to our guys across the pond telling them how it's done, you'd have a continent at your feet ;-)

Enjoy CH guys!
