I would like to see a healthy mix of RPers (so some nice veterans can show me the ropes) and non RPers on the server we ultimately choose, for varieties sake. I'll be happy either way and will go with the majority in the end its not like once we pick a server thats the only server we can play on. My vote goes for Tempest Reach and Dragonfall as a backup (for pop. purposes)
thangor, myself, and any others in the black legion will unite under the Roleplayers tag in beta just to get to know the community before launch.
this is a good idea but for beta I think the guild name should be. ~wants a RP server~
While I also think Dragonfall is a cool name, I'll place my vote for Tempest Reach / Frost Reach, with Arachnaea as a backup. I'll be making characters on as many servers as I can, and hopefully somehow, we'll figure out which servers have the best-suited community for RP come release day.
i have tried RP on Aion and i actually really really liked it "GO MAMO".
Im a writer and it just made everything fun and amazing in the game to experiance.
Im a pvper too so it does function and very well.
Id really love a RpPve/pvp server too!
I understand there is no marriage system- I know it was giggled at earlier- but I made a lot of A/oners go back to A/on simply for this system. The rings telport you to their spouce once an hour- I was like HELL YEA! I am very sure with the political system that the marriage system would be a smooth run with it
Role play gamers are passionate usually about thier legion and members- including thier spouce.. and will defend them. hell i know i did- if i heard my husband being hit - I would drop everything and run to him.. and lol his respone " im fine beloved" *hearing the heavy scrape of blades on the stairs as he staggered back up to heal* "damn balaur"

MARRIAGE:
There was research on the marriage system saying it did oe trully amazing thing to Role players and even non role players-they started making family.. LoL i love it- the family we choose!!!!
yey. it changes the game mechanics in the most amazing way.
BUt mostly - RP ers who play are actually more deicated and polite as they usually will play in character and as reputation to their character was important- very few ever trolled and were amazingly respectful to even new players..
(and yes i say that cos i was trolled badly as a new Aion player and a beautiful RP Legion took me in and it was just amazing.)
when they fight they fight with reputation and theri character in mind- you wil more likely get an amazing pvp server if you did..

Here is my opinion on the matter...
This is the single best idea that I have EVER heard in a very long history of RolePlaying... and believe me, I have 14 years worth of experience from tabletop to forum based and into MMO's so I've just about seen it all.
Having an ingame guild whose main purpose is to support the RP community as a whole is the best support for real time RP that you can get! Whether you're in the middle of an RP event and something has gone seriously south, or you want to call in some more characters to help pull something off. Even just finding those isolated RPers and be able to help smaller RP guilds find the exact kind of personalities that they are looking for to join their ranks.
And I'm all for the little guilds! Every RPer I've ever met would rather RP with 10 of their close friends than 100 people they barely knew. But our problem has always been keeping in touch with the greater community. And sometimes themed guilds, large or small, just aren't made to last... they live out an incredible story, but once it has run its course the RPers eventually drift away. Imagine instead being able to come back to a community guild and start planning the next extraordinary chapter!
If you are looking for people to help bring <roleplayers> through beta and into release, count me in!! I'd love to get involved and assist any way that I could!
Hell I don't even care if the RPer's end up in several different guilds, I think we should have a RP channel no matter what so that people can find each other regardless of which guild they're in on a given server.
Count me in. I'll keep checking up on this thread to see which server we decide on. The only bummer for me is that I won't be able to login until 2pm PTS - darn work.... X(
