<Roleplayers> the Guild

So, I have to ask. How will we know which PVP server this guild will roll on for the RP-PVPers? I'm very interested in getting in on this idea and hopefully finding some excellent RP and PvP with likeminded folks, huge conflict driven story lines, intrigue, backstabbing, trust and betrayal...makes me excited just thinking about it. Anyway, I'm very interested in this and hope that this guild will branch onto a PvP server since I've not been able to find any info on a RP-PvP server at release.

thanks for reading :)

As far as I know, the guild is disbanded as of the end of CBT5. It was merely formed to bring RPers together on a normal PvE server. With the mention of a RP-PvE server (but still no RP-PvP server) everyone's bound to go their separate ways during OBT.

Perhaps the guild will reform on Celestial Hills as a catch-all again, for the homeless role-players that may not exactly be looking for a guild but would like to quickly converse with a group of role-players in general with no strings or "fellowship" obligations attached. However, for now Roleplayers has served it's purpose. Reviving it from the ashes is a topic you'd have to discuss with other role-players.

I'm pretty interested, myself? Do we know that Celestial Hills will even be available in OBT? As far as a guild for people to relax and hang out in, it would be fun as an OOC way for people to get to know one another and garnish a sense of community. I'm sorry I missed out on joining you fine ladies and gentlemen, I was entirely unaware this thing was going on during CBT5.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind starting it back up come OBT, and I'm sure Celestial Hills will be there, as OBT leads right into head start and release with no wipes.

Though if we were to start up the guild again, the leader would have to be on more often than our last one >.> No offense, chief.

Additionally, I wouldn't want them to go all mad with power, kicking people at their discretion because they don't agree with their opinion or what have you. Keeping the peace and pretty much remaining neutral would be hard for anybody though, especially a role-player. So many opinions on what proper role-play is, emotions are bound to run high from time to time during a "discussion."

I'd say it would just be a place to OOCly meet one another. Delegate a few people to become officers so that you have multiple people on to invite others should they wish it, but yeah. It shouldn't be considered a serious guild--just a place to hang and get a sense of community. A place with no ties and where everything is welcome, so long as no one oversteps another's personal boundaries. I'd say act like adults in guild chat and hopefully the rest will follow. If someone leaves, no biggie. Just means they found a direction for their character.

Granted, I've seen this tried and fail in the past so it's a leap.

No offense taken. Real life has to take priority. :)

Also, there will be a large number of RP guilds forming in OBT, so I would recommend looking through the listings at the Council of Seven prior to rolling on Celestial Hills.

Not sure where Volumnus is, but last I heard he had every intention of continuing Roleplayers on Celestial Hills. I can't speak for him, but I think he intended it to serve as an RP college for folks that are new to RP as well as a place for those that didn't have a guild yet.
