So, who is your favourite super hero? Do you have one? Why?

I'd have to pick Superman, just because of what he is, and what he represents. I love a lot of comic book characters, but I've always like Supes the best.

How about you?

The Goddamn Batman!

He's insane. He instills fear in his enemies. He can kick Superman's [filtered]. And, he does it all without ever killing anyone.

I don't like super heroes. But my hero is Richard Dawkins.

I think I would have to give another notch to Batman. In addition to DocL's comments, I have always loved that he does all the bad [filtered] things he does without any super powers (albeit his natural talents and resources are a bit "super" unto themselves). Throw in the great back story and the noir, and he is just awesome.

As for Richard Dawkins, he isn't my hero but I will admit his writings are some of my favorites among contemporary philosophy, even though I disagree with the fundamental foundations for some of his conclusions.
