Hello SI;
How do you feel about GvG on the PVE servers? Do you like it, hate it, don't really care?
I'd love to have more pvp options on a pve server, but because I know a lot of our players in K&K don't enjoy pvping, I'm a little sad that you can't opt out of the GvG pvp.
I guess I'll have to wait for instanced battlegrounds. I wonder if those'll be for 60s only, if we'll be able to try em out through all the levels.
Have a great Thursday.
I'm still fuzzy on the details, so I might make no sense.
IF you can pick/choose who can declare on you (like if both guilds have to agree to pvp each other) and you reach a 'gentlemen's agreement' that GvG will only happen in Kaiator or some specific game area, then you could have a 2 hour free for all that would be a blast for people that want to do it, but it would keep the leveling lowbies/alts safe.
If any guild can declare on you once you flag, it won't be fun for a non-pvp ninny like myself.
When I'm in 'leveling' mode, I really don't want to be ganked. It is why I'm on a PVE server. Spent too many years on PvP servers in other games.

Well, I already have a rule in the guild that we will only do GvG unless there is an unanimous vote for it. After all, every guild member would be participating in it.
In regards to the component itself, GvG is useless. There are no rewards.
Most of us are waiting for BGs.
Actually, smaller guilds should have the advantage. Think about it. Less people for them to kill, and you can do guerilla tactics.
Yes if ganking is your ideal, but if you designate a battle area where both guilds meet is another story.
I don't mind trying the pvp out. I have asked my guild leader to put us in the GVG category. But i guess i have a sense of guilt to attack another player in a pve server. Just seems strange XD
It sounds like a pretty pointless version of pvp.
I don't understand why it is even being implemented on PvE servers, where people have obviously already decided they're not interested in open-world PvP.
Isn't open-world PvP already implemented on PvP servers? Isn't that the point of a PvP server? So...in that case...this type of GvG still makes no sense. Sure, it gives guilds specific targets, but without incentives, GvG doesn't really add anything to the game.
