Morning SI!

Sorry I've been away, went on vacation with hubby and kids. :) Hope you all had a great weekend.

Are you a cat person? Dog person? Snake person? *looks at Elethor*

I have both cats, and dogs, but since getting my pups n stuff, I think I like puppies more. I will always have a cat though.

Hamsters FTW! I had the best hamster ever. His name was Pepito. He was my bro. Rest in peace Pepi. ;_;

I love animals, all types. I have 2 rescue cats, and want some dogs but we are in a tiny apartment and 2 cats fill the place already.

I also really want a snake and some birds. Again, space is the limiting factor.

I have a rescue dog that I did not get from a shelter. I found a 6-month old skinny brown dog on the side of the road looking scared to cross a 6 lane highway.

My sister and I were driving by and immediately she jammed on the brakes and got out near the dog.

We bundled it up in a blanket and took it to her house and gave it a bath with some flea shampoo. It turned out to be lovely (mostly black) marked little mixed breed Australian Sheppard that has the marking of a Rotweiler, body shape and fur style of an Australian Sheppard, tongue markings of a Chow, and the hind leg white fur markings again of a Rotweiler.

I have had that dog of mine for almost a decade now. She is getting some white hair on her cute little muzzle and she has gained some weight from being spoiled.

I guess I can call her a true rescue; for her or me, I am not sure...

Cheers,
Edhin

Snakes don't take much room at all honestly, this depends on the species though. I have my adult Corn Snake (Zeus) in a 30 (liter I think) tank and it just takes up a little corner of the snake room, the rest of my collection is in a rack system.

But if you go Corn Snake you can get a baby for about $40 (cheaper if you go to an expo) and keep it in a 20 liter for about a year or so.
