Vanarch Survey

With Vanarch registration underway, we should see some new Vanarchs as well as watch others get re-elected. Outcry has put together a new survey to see what players expect from their Vanarchs. It is only 6 questions, with one being optional. Try to spread this around; everyone has a vote and should get what they vote for. I will post the results as they come in, so keep an eye on this thread.

Pretty sure Silent Warriors does everything at the "1" level, mainly because one does not simply put only one vendor up at a time. I can't put all of them at 1, so I can't accurately detail our focus.

The event list seems limited in the check boxes, thankfully you put an "Other" category. A deathmatch event will not work well in leveling regions that have high disparity, like Ostagarth for example-- unless the event was organized incredibly well to have multiple tournaments at multiple level tiers. A lot of work, but I would like abundant interest in it before planning it.

"Trivia" really isn't an event. It's simply asking a random question on /o and rewarding the winner. I do this daily already, up to three times in one day.

Hide & Seek is pretty fun. I did something called "Manhunt" for the first event in Ostagarth and that was splendid. I hid in a random location in the entire province, and Pips of Houkago Guild Time found me for the reward.

Not sure what "Land the Killing Blow" is. Sounds like PvP. Might not work on a PvE server.

Also, /roll seems silly. That's not an event, that's a chat command, and RNG is no fun.

The second event we did was a Scavenger Hunt, which in essence was a combination of finding items while at the same time finding people. If I released a formal list of things needed to be found, people would just go to the broker and buy them. In this event I had around eight guildies scattered across the province with an unknown item, and people would find them to get the item. When the eight unique items were found, they'd return to me and show me. Juicey of Show Me Your Crits won that event this past Saturday.

Though I'd bring this survey into question. Mainly because Question 3 doesn't apply to this server. Also because Question 1 and 2 are moot- all vendors should be set up at soon as the election results roll out, in the quickest way possible. That's exactly what SW did, and that's what will happen again (though we're curious, because right now our npcs say they don't expire till eight days AFTER reign period ends).

Anyway, this is a neat idea, but could probably use some editing. People could also read the nice write-ups the vanarchs do on the forums, at least the people that visit the forums.
