While I wait to speak to support about my subscription, I was thinking of a question to ask.
Yesterday I got a new keyboard (Logitech G510). it's taking some getting used too, but so far I really like it.
So, how about you? What do you play with? Do you have a favourite brand?
I'm a big fan of Razer's peripheral products. Currently, I'm using the Lycosa keyboard and Naga Hex mouse.
The keyboard has low profile keys which I absolutely love. It also has 3 lighting settings for the keys, (no lights, WASD lights, or complete keyboard lights). Additionally, you can plug your microphone/headset directly into the keyboard if you'd like to do that.
The mouse is great as well. I went with the Naga Hex because of it's 5600dpi (fairly standard in gaming mice) and only 6 additional thumb buttons. The Naga has 12 thumb buttons which in my case was overkill. So I saved myself a bit of money and got the Naga Hex.
I pretty much swear by Razer. I used a Death Adder for years and upgraded to a Naga for Tera. I tortured myself over whether to go with the traditional Naga or the Hex, but ultimately decided on the traditional. To be honest, my decision came down to the fact that local stores carried the traditional so I was able to hold it and see that I liked it, while I could not find a Hex anywhere but online.
Ultimately, I am very happy with my choice. Although I agree with Sonadin that 12 buttons may be overkill, I do use 9 of them and 6 would have left me wanting a bit more. Though I would still like to play around with a Hex to see how I like it :\
I use a Razer headset as well, but I have a gaming laptop so just the standard Asus keyboard.
I am a logitech fan, my headset, mouse and keyboard are all logitech and I pretty much only use their peripherals. I used to use a G15 Keyboard but after 4 years of heavy abuse it was time to replace it (it still works pretty well too, I gave it to a friend of mine)
I replaced it with the G510 and I love it! It's a little smaller than the G15 which is nice, and the ability to change the color of the backlight is nifty. The only thing I wish the 510 had that the G15 had was the channels cut into the bottom of the keyboard for headphone wires.
My mouse is a Logitech G5 weighted laser gaming mouse, it only has 2 shoulder buttons but the weight system is a must for me as I hate really light mice.
And my headset is a Logitech G5330 (or something like that) and recently had some plastic snap on the head band, luckily a little super glue fixed it with no problems.
I, too, am in love with Razer products. ^^
I've been through a ton of Razer keyboards, mainly the Lycosa, and loved them all (except for the Razer Anansi; that thing was awful), but finally found the perfect keyboard for me when I got my Razer BlackWidow Ultimate. I am absolutely in love with this keyboard. Kridor despises it because it's LOUD, but I love how responsive it is. The five extra keybinds it gives me was my original reason for buying it. :3
As for a mouse, I like Razer's mice as well and used to have a Razer Deathadder. However, the sides were way too slippery and glossy, so I recently bought a SteelSeries Sensei, which I love. :3 It has four extra buttons (two on each side), which works out fine since I have the extra keys on my keyboard. ^_^
I'm back to using an ancient HP keyboard and a Microsoft mouse from a generic Cyberpower USB keyboard/mouse
I looked at the keyboards and mice that others use and that's just too much fluff for me. :)
