I understand why, atm, the problem to transfer from pvp to pve due to pvp skills etc. But why such a problem to transfer from pve to pvp? Transfer, get the book, done? What am I missing?

You are missing the fact that it is insanely unfair to allow someone to level up to 60 without ever getting ganked then calmly transferring from a PvE to a PvP server. If you really want a character on a PvP server, suck it up and reroll. You will have to pay your dues and get ganked like a hundred times on the way to 60. If they ever allow people to transfer from PvE to PvP, I am quitting. This would be the worst move ever!

"insanely unfair"?. I play on a pvp server and could care less if someone transfers from pve. Just because they have not been ganked? Seriously? I'm asking if there is an advantage.

I have to second that, because one peeve of mine is fairness. Its not right for you to spend 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months etc to get to 60 and have all gold gear +9 and +12 on everything, all rep maxed and then transfer to a PVP server to walk into low level areas and slaughter at your sick hearts content. Doing stuff like this would make people that are just coming here to TERA leave in a heartbeat. Don't believe me, look at AION. Once I found it forced PvP and that I was getting ganked left and right as my spiritmaster I left and didn't return.

We already have more players that been in TERA since day 1, yet not a lot of people still coming to it. Incentives like the transfers, RMT through chronoscrolls and specialty/novelty items may help, but the instance they ever allow PvE to PvP transfers, be prepared for a mass exodus.

It may be okay to some, but in reality you have to think of the community at large. As happened to a place I once was an assistant GM in, they did one stupid move that change their game for the worse. Many old players and staff left. Those of us that stayed on were seeing less and less of the population logging on to the point that they had to undo the changes to the system and offer incentives trying to bring new players and old time players that left into the system again. In this sense, TERA GMs are looking out for the whole community by not allowing PvE to PvP transfers since to many its a no no... and to many they would leave if it happened.

I doubt they will add PvE to PvP given the nature of the GvGs, and the vanarch system. I still hope they add PvP to PvE even if its cash shop, since all my friends now are PvE.

We are working on a big update that includes the battleground for late summer but PvP to PvE transfer is on our radar as one of the items we want to work on after that.

Now that BGs are out, any ETA on this? Any info is much appreciated!
