Hi, my name is Stark. I'm leader of Vagrant, a premiere political guild on the Valley of Titans server, and I am running for Vanarch in Arun. Vagrant views the political system as an opportunity to improve the way we all play TERA. Specifically, our goal is to encourage and foster all manner of activities beyond the typical PvP and PvE activities. This is our platform:

The Most Dangerous Game: Fighting outlaws

Vagrant fights outlaws for two reasons:
1) To help low-level players complete their quests with a minimum degree of interference.
2) To create compelling gameplay. We know by experience that hunting outlaws throughout a province is fun, and a good way to bring players together. We hope that gankers who want to live dangerously choose to gank in our zone. We’ll all have a good time as we hunt you down. All players will be welcome and encouraged to help join in the hunt!

Quest Guides - Guiding players through our zone

Patrols guarding against gankers and griefers do nothing to help complete your quests. That’s why a few of our higher-level players will always be around as Quest Guides. Quest Guides will help players quickly make their way through our zone. Our Quest Guides will be standing by to help you with your BAM quests, or anything else.

Traditional Dueling and Deathmatch Competitions

Vagrant will sponsor frequent dueling competitions and deathmatch tournaments with gold payouts to the top players and teams.

Non Traditional Competitions

Occasionally Vagrant will experiment with new types of competition involving something a little more random and out of the ordinary. These competitions will be deathmatch with a twist!

Taxes

Vagrant promises to never overtax our players. Your gold will be put directly toward prizes for our sponsored competitions and compensating our outlaw-hunting militia and Quest Guides.

You should vote for us because:

We have experience- As many of you are aware, our members are already protecting lower level players by patrolling their quest zones in search for outlaws.

We want to be one of the big names in politics- We have guild members playing TERA exclusively for the political system. These members, along with myself, are committed to fulfilling our campaign promises to you, no matter what the cost.

We will work tirelessly to enhance your experience in the world of TERA.
Together, we can make TERA a more enjoyable and rewarding game for everyone.

Thank you for your time and attention.

-Stark

So is Vagrant a PKK guild?

If so how do you expect to represent the section of players that recognizes this is a PVP server and flags to get fights, are you arguing that is not acceptable behavior on a PVP server? Also you make it sound as if the reds who run around flagged and fight anyone indiscriminately are the gankers, yet you seem to encourage large PKK swarms to hunt down these few individuals, which sounds more like ganking in my definition of the word.

Thanks, nice write up btw.

Yes, we are a PKK guild.

We aren't saying anything isn't acceptable. All we're saying is, we've made it our mission to fight gankers. We don't think what gankers do is harmful to the game - we love killing players too. Thats one of the reasons we do what we do.

You could argue that we gank too, but only people who deserv it : )

Thats one of the reasons we do what we do. And if it weren't for gankers, we would't be able to crusade against them : )

What we do of course looks similar to ganking, as we do gang up on players and kill them. But ganking is killing without provocation. We hunt gankers. So, we're only a threat to you if you gank. Really not the same at all.

Hi, I'm co-leader of Vagrant. Allow me to shed a little more light on our stance on this topic:

We here at Vagrant really love TERA and want players to experience the joys of this game with as smooth an experience as possible. For this reason, you'll often find us already in areas like Lumbertown protecting lower level players from the harassment of Outlaw gankers. We feel this is integral to the PvP system as it forms a sort of balance of power. Batman and Joker need each other to feel as though they matter (sorry, I'm a comic book nerd). We don't want Outlaws to go away, we want them to rise to meet the challenge we present to them. This, in our opinions, is every bit "PvP' as merely leaving the area alone to let people gank whomever they wish.

On the flipside, we realize not everyone shares our ideals. Some players may have signed up to tackle any and all would-be gankers or are actually one of them. This is why Vagrant will never disable PvP in a zone. Often times we'll find players requesting we let them fight an Outlaw themselves without our intrusion to which we always oblige. We will never interfere in a fair fight if that is what is desired.

Once again, thank you for your time and attention. If you have any other questions, we will be more than happy to address them!
