The sole purpose of this post is the convince you that Will Not Fix is deserving of your support and your votes. We are currently running for a seat in Northern Shara (top left of the map) and hope that if your guild is trying to make its mark elsewhere you can use one of your 2 remaining votes to support a guild that works hard to be a positive influence on Valley of Titans.
If by the end of this post you have questions or wonder about our stance on a particular subject then please let us know with a reply or talk to us in-game (Yosh, Regnak, Pyrulen, Wheres.Waldo or Hinkkx). We're an open book and we're proud of what we've accomplished so far as a guild.
A quick note on how voting works:
Rather than running for a specific province, guilds select one of 3 areas. They then select provinces in order of most desirable to least desirable. An account is given 3 votes on every server where they have a character lvl 20 or above. Each vote can be given to a guild in each of the three regions. If your guild is running in a region other than North Shara then please keep reading to see if we're worthy of one of your remaining votes.
What we stand for:
The internet can be a ruthless place and we strive to be a positive force on Valley of Titans. We want to help those who want the community to grow. How? We keep good relationships with other guilds with the same mindset as us. This means we’ll promote events that benefit the server as a whole.
Rather than be vague, let me give you an example. Before launch, there was a PvP event organized to try to get various guilds together for a fair tournament. We were amongst the first to back the project and push other guilds to participate. That’s the kind of stuff we’ll be able to fund and promote if we become a Vanarch guild.
We’re on a PVP server and it goes without saying that everyone here is looking for good PVP action. We look for challenging PVP encounters and none of our members make it their mission to maintain infamy. That being said, in order to get anything done as a Vanarch, PVE quests have to be completed. This means that a guild elected needs to have a strong core of 60s who can clear dungeons and complete quests. You also need that guild to be able to muster its troops to do that every day without fail for 3 weeks. The only way to do that is if each member of the guild genuinely likes clearing PVE content.
Will Not Fix was formed with having the right mix of PVE/PVP in mind. All our members joined us because they think the same way. We won’t have to remind anyone that Vanarch quests need to be completed because that’s what our members want to be doing.
What we’re going to do:
With the recent patch we all learned how tough it was to play without specialty shops and brokers in the minor towns. That’s going to be our top priority. We can’t throw numbers at you because the system just isn’t implemented yet but having a great roster of members lets us assure you that the things you want access to will be available as often as they possibly can be.
Being a Vanarch gives access to the province taxation feature. There’s no point in opening shops and trainers if taxes empty out players’ pockets. We want to improve your gaming experience, not hinder it. This means tax rates in our province are going to be low and remain steady throughout our term.
Where does that money go? Back to you. We’re using those funds to organize events and keep our province active.
Why us:
At 130 members, we’re not a huge guild. We’ve tightened our recruitment to make sure every new member fits in well with our approach to the game and represents us properly on the server. We think that bigger guilds who fill up their roster to capacity with members they don’t know and can’t oversee are only hurting themselves and the community.
We think they grow in order to get more votes but we would rather keep a tightknit group of players and have the server believe in us rather than force our way into office.
Can we get things done? We’ve been running end-game dungeons since the first week of launch. We regularly run simultaneous groups for all level 60 dungeons. We never have to resort to looking online for guides or videos to clear content. We figure it out and come up with our own strategies.
Will Not Fix has had a Tera podcast since before launch. It’s being used not only to inform players about the game’s mechanics but also to give the server a voice. It helps promote and coordinate Valley of Titans events and keeps players up to date on what’s happening on their server.
We’re not just another guild on the server who can clear content. We’re a guild dedicated to helping others and making everyone feel like logging on and playing Tera.
