0ricul's Post History

Wanted to say this here...

I was actually having this issue, and then I found the same issue on the main page of the support site with 2 solutions. I did the second solution (which didn't do anything for me), and then I went back and performed the first step, and now my launcher is working perfectly (and quickly).

Don't know if you need to do both the fixes in conjunction, or what - but it works, so give it a try.

Hey there Leonas - I hope you don't mind but I would like to comment on a few things you've posted.

@Daily Consumables :: While I do not think it's that big of a deal due to an abundance of inventory space (mind you - I don't craft, so I don't know how much space that requires - I do collect mats though), I honestly believe that EME will start selling inventory expansion items in their specialty store when they go F2P.

@DND / AFK :: Thumbs up.

@Friends / Block Lists :: Totally.

@Priority Queue :: Major thumbs up. With the surge of players sure to come, this is a golden option.

Sooo I guess I only really needed to comment on your consumable suggestion - but please bear in mind, I do agree with your flag idea, I just don't think it will happen.
@Vespaer
The point is that I'm not upset with the amount of messages, which ultimately should be the only reason anyone should want to turn off that channel. Instead it's discussions which directly violate the RoC, and sometimes even the ToS. All I can say is anyone who is directly opposed to moderation in this form are probably those causing issues.

Also, you're right - in which case I will point at Planet Side 2, and as well I will also point out that MMO is not a game genre, but a game type. FPS, RPG, Action, RTS, so on so forth, are game genres. A more common happening is the over-the-shoulder FPS, which is ultimately what TERA, and Planet Side 2 fall under.

The fact is - why should I - and others who are like minded - have to turn off something that, as you said, enhances the community, because of other people breaching RoC & ToS? Heck, why should players joining TERA have to ask their very first group-mate how to turn off these global channels because of the kinds of discussions that go on?
XDeathx You do realize that your post was no constructive in any way, and that the ESRB does not reflect the community's interactions (i.e. subject matters). If it was rated in such a manner, games like Club Penguin, which is aimed at children, would not be rated E, but at a MINIMUM it would be rated T for the language that some use.

The game is rated M for (like it says) blood, suggestive themes (more then likely, the armor), and violence.

I wasn't going to point this out, but I did say "sexist", not "sexual".

On a final note, I will add...

Taken from Rules of Conduct...
1. TERA is a mature rated game. This means there are aspects of our design that make it that way. Mature does not mean you get to act like an [filtered]. In fact, by its definition that would be immature.

2. Do not attack someone personally, including their race, religion, nationality, ethics, sexual preference, or personal beliefs. Keep it clean.

7. Do not post or use graphic sexual, grotesque, and violent language or images. There are enough websites out there for this. We don’t need another one.

17. Trolling: You don’t want to be "that person".
I want to start by saying that I am not new to MMO's. I've been playing them since '98 (Dark Age of Camelot).

1) Where is the chat moderation? You have people selling in global instead of using trade, looking for groups in global instead of LFG. What about all the insulting, degrading, and down right sexist talk going on here? You have 3 servers, can you really not spare 9 people to moderate this? That's 3 per server on different shifts. Seriously though, if you can't moderate it, just get rid of the global channels (trade, lfg, and global).

2) Look over the controller support. I will admit, for an MMO the controller support is superb, but I would like to see some kind of aim assist. I get that there is no targetting, I've been playing this game on and off since launch - trust me - I get it, and don't want a target assist, but an aim assist. Even in games like Medal of Honor Warfighter (PC) they have aim assist for controller users. Heck, I do better with my controller on PC then most people with KB/M. But I would like to see the crosshair "slow" not snap to a target as you turn in a battle. Just something to push it over the edge.

I have others, but those 2 bug me the most... so uh - yeah.
