I took a quick glance through 3ric's ini file. It basically turned off all shadows but enabled the composite shadows instead, drastically reduced the shadow map, turned off bloom, enables up to 4 logical cores, turns off a couple other bells and whistles, as well as sets a different resolution, one that my monitor doesn't display very well. Ultimately it wasn't worth sacrificing all the effects for me so I went back to using my normal one.

You know you can tweak the ini file yourself, right? You don't have to play on the same resolution as I do.
+2 power = 100 attack on my lancer with +9 nexus lance.
+2 power = 300 attack on my lancer with +11 abyss lance.

If lances could roll +2 power at +10/11/12 we're looking at 1600-2000 attack increase depending on gear. Is that overpowered? I don't think so. It's not like we're asking for dps class capabilities.
I tried it just to see if I could. This was my second attempt, although the first was successful it was super sloppy. Enjoy. =)

Keep in mind the ini tweaks are a band-aid for a stab wound, metaphorically speaking.
@OOLuigiOo

No, definitely not. Although NVidia is favored here for some reason, even laptops with integrated graphics can benefit from this.
I think you should duo Kelsaik's Nest with a priest. That's my favorite way to farm MES and alks.

You can do a full run in under 15 minutes with just +9 gear.

I made a video recently, hope this helps:

Once you learn the mechanics of the fight, you can solo it easily.
So who wants to play hardmode?

Well if anyone wants, I can tweak the files to open world hard mode... or a bad headache. =P

The difference between the ini files is not much but it still helps. While standing in Cutthroat Harbor with max settings and default files, I get 30~33fps. With the modified ini file, 32~38.
@Horasu

I sent you another PM. I think I know the problem, going to test it.
