Aenerian's Post History

Its like a free-to-play games maintenance.
I too will be giving it some time, but today has been dissapointing.
Oh dear.
Here we go again.

Game with most users of DPS Meter - WoW
Game with most dbags - WoW.

Correlation.

I didnt want to be this blunt.
But its the truth.

What will happen when GW2 comes out and doesnt have damage counters? What will those who have been brainwashed by wow play? Or will they just complain and cause tension because they cant always get what they want?

SMH.

There are plenty of people who are happy to help people out.

There are equally many, if not more, people that would not help people out too. What hapens next is a bout of anger, maybe a little abuse, generally ending with someones feelings hurt. For every good individual, there is always someone whose elitism makes him think he is a god.

Thats good in theory, until everyone is required to post their damage. Assuming that posting it is an option. Otherwise everyone could just lie and then it wouldnt matter.

Yes that is also a problem.

In the end Enmasse has to choose an option, cater towards the PRO-damage meter crowds and lose players. Or cater towards the opposite faction, but also lose players.

Its a loss-loss situation either way.
The easiest solution, as has been stated many times, is to jsut introduce a personal damage meter. However, introduction of this feature might lead towards an idea where there is 'one true build' or more specifically, a single way to play your class to maximise your damage output, where any other way is weak or 'unacceptable'. Personally, I dont honestly care about the introduction of damage meters, but wouldent this feature just delegate Tera towards that non-changing MMO list? I thought TERA was supposed to be different (think GW2..)

In the end though, this will cater to min/maxers while, at the same time, not cause discrimination within the community.

The fact at the moment is, however, that there arent any 'legal' damage meters. As to the likelihood of any implementation? No one knows,
OP sounds mad.
Cant wait till TERA goes FTP.
