Akin's Post History

This item seems to no longer exist BTW, if anyone was looking for it like I was today :)
I can agree with part 2 and the Nexus section of part 4. In fact, I think taking out collision will probably help frame rate more than a new texture for Nexus monsters as it doesn't seem to be my GPU that's bottle-necked. I have no comment about the other sections of part 4 because I'm not on the PvP server and I don't PvP.

Forgive me, but part 1 doesn't seem to be too well thought out and seems to be based only on your own experiences with certain classes. Experiences, that in most cases seem to differ from my own, and therefore, probably differ from other members of the TERA community. These suggestions would probably benefit you and your play style, but could be detrimental to other members in the community. I usually suggest that in MMOs, balancing should be carefully planned at tested so that a small, seemingly innocent buff or nerf, doesn't break other aspects of game balance. It happens all the time so I've become weary.

As for part 3, new skills are always cool and I like your ideas about sorcerers learning new elements (I'd prefer a mastery in a current element). However, as I mentioned before, new skills that affect class balance need to be vetted and thoroughly tested in order to avoid breaking other aspects of game play.

All that said, however, you should definitely submit your ideas. When the community wants to improve a game, that's a good thing!
walk is cool, even for non-RPers like me. /signed

The game does not revolve around the "im better than you, and my online epin is bigger etc etc) competition is good but only to a degree.

Let's hope it stays that way. As games mature, they tend to drift that way. Mostly because A-holes drive other people out.

The defense success icon that pops up every shield block is addicting to hear/see.

I thought the same thing when I first saw it.

Unlike Chromius and Cannyone, I had been looking forward to this game for almost 2 years. It had taken so long to come to North America that I had almost given up on expecting to play it. The OBT was a real wake up call as to what fun a MMO could be. I miss playing as well. What's better is that I bought a new rig in preparation for D3 and maybe Tera (if it was any good). I'm glad I'll be putting it to good use now.

The only MMO I've ever played has been Ragnarok Online, which I've played for over 8 years now. I'm trying out Tera because it looks faster paced than other 3D MMOs, It plays like one of my favorite RPGs of all time (Secret of Mana), the game looks great, and Lancers just look and feel awesome.
