So, someone asked in area chat how to see more slots on their action bar. I told them to 'Click expand next to your action bar and you'll see more slots' and the 'click expand' phrase was censored with #'s, and I got a message about 'part of last message was in violation of our rules of conduct'. What? Why would you do this? It makes no sense at all...
Furthermore, why have this censor system in the first place? It doesn't censor out any profanity at all.. all it does is randomly prevent parts of completely innocent chat messages from going through. And if you did it to stop 'gold sellers' from being able to advertise your wares, well I got news for you: It doesn't work at all. People can still type stuff like examplewebsite(dot)com and it goes through just fine. Why not just remove it entirely? Especially as there are lots of legitimate reasons to post websites, like referring someone to a specific thread on these or other tera related website forums.
