Ashrai's Post History

"Most of us will not post on your forums until they are fixed."

Meaning = most of us will not post on your forums until the forums are fixed. Embara began this compilation the night of dress rehearsal and it's been added to since. The forums to submit beta information were not yet up.

Please also keep in mind that some of the feedback in that post is written by someone who has English as a second language, be respectful of that.

As to the sentence that you are really seeming to be put off by- I'd hazard a guess that I have a better idea of what Embara meant, since a large portion of the feedback in her post is mine. I am in Meridian Gauntlet.

The feedback she compiled was a rough compilation of a lot of people's thoughts, a stream of consciousness if you will. She sent it to EME and at their direct request then posted it here.

I am not sure why you are so bent on raining on people's parade.

The game is newborn and just taking its first breaths. We as players have the opportunity to take part in finetuning the game- in areas both large and small. The fact EME is interesed in our opinions is awesome.

When the game launches, it will be a compliation of EME's original vision, and possibly some tweaks from the community. Those who contributed can know they did their part. Those who shot down those who dared to contribute...well I'm not sure what to say about those folks.

Carry on.

I cancelled my pre-order with Best Buy 5 minutes ago. I have been in communication with their social media team and customer service. Based on my experiences over the Holidays with their Online system, I despair they will ever figure out the beta key issue :(

I just placed my pre-Order with Amazon.
Before I even had my Best Buy order cancelled, I had a Beta Key from Amazon in my email.

EME you guys are awesome, I'm glad to see you are not leaving the Best Buy pre-order folks hanging for next week's wave. You rock~
Glad to see I am not the only one. While playing the CB there were things that frustrated me, sure, but in the days since having to say Goodbye to my toon on Sunday night, I realize just what a breath of fresh air this game is, and I miss my little Priest a lot.
Yes, please fix - first night playing I ended up logging after a few hours because of eyestrain.
The comment at the beginning about not posting on forums was because at that time the forums were not working for some people and most importantly- there was no place to post anything yet- the CB forums were only just implemented in the last week. They did not exist when this compilation was started. That's all.

My only issue with the Priest is- if we are meant to be up close and in the mob's face...why do we not even have a pair of pants to protect us? /cries
Best Buy still has no information on this at all. I heard back from customer service finally and they said they have not even heard from the publisher (by that I assume Atari), and are trying to get their promotional key team to get a status. How could Atari just forget to inform such a huge retailer?

What a mess.
Got my Priest to 21 during CB1, and despite my issues with the UI/combat system, I have to say I loved the Priest. It took a bit of getting used to- I was always so used to a healing class staying far back and not in the thick of things. And coming from playing a Mage (Chloro) in Rift, I was also used to being on the back lines. Once I adjusted my mindset to the fact that this Priest is up close and personal, it became a blast. I was able to solo my way to 20 without ever dying, and by the time I was in my last few levels, I could AE packs of mobs 5+ easily. I got a chance to do a Dungeon just before the CB ended, and after adjusting once again I found it a lot of fun. Jumping in, using my jumpback, keeping heals pumping, and using my various dmg spells- I was very happy to have found a healing class that is NEVER bored.

I do agree with the comments made on the speed of our first nuke, it seems like it could be shortened just a bit and feel much more in keeping with the rest of our skills.

Heal agro was an issue, and the inability to move while casting an "instant" spell caused more deaths than necessary. There is a perceptible enforced "stunlock" when you cast your lock-on heal that makes it VERY difficult to react if an add jumps you. I am a PVPer in other games, so am used to twitch reactions and found myself almost snapping off a key or two trying to get out of that enforced standstill in emergencies :p

No, you are not alone. Against my better judgement I ordered mine from Best Buy- despite their complete fiasco over the holiday season.

To date I have received no responses from customer service despite contacting them 3 times over the last week or so, no email updates, nothing. They are completely oblivious as to what is supposed to happen. The only response I got from the first attempt was them being totally clueless and saying "the game's release date is XXX". The person literally didn't know what a beta key was.

I would like to once again thank EME for their proactiveness in making sure all of us got to try the CB despite the retail woes. I certainly don't expect them to do it for the next round, but it's disheartening to see that every other retailer it seems has either sent codes or informed customers of the release date of the codes. Best Buy once again drops the ball.
