Man, I finally have time to surf the forums!
Who wants a fair fight when you can PvP!:P

Can't wait for arena to come out.

As an aside, I can't believe there are people who actually feel like making cross-server alliances is necessary. I had never heard of such an idea batted around until now and I'm fairly certain it's not an issue on my home server. People need to stop taking this thing so darn seriously.

If it can be done it will be done. If you know what you are doing leveling to 20 on another server takes an afternoon. When 1-2 votes can make the difference between 2-3rd place sometimes, I could easily see guilds setting up multiple alliances on different servers.

Taking 3 hours so my guild can get another 60-150 votes from a guild on another server? You start to turn 3 guild alliances into 6 guild alliances VERY easily.
I just thought it might be interesting. At least I would have a chance to get an actual discussion with the person who would be in charge of the times verses just hoping they would hear me haha.

Another person brought up the point that by having more off times you would have the chance of creating a lot less lag for these events.

It would also be cool to be able to convince people to vote for you based off of the nexus times.

I think this sheds light on giving vanarchs more interactive powers over the game and could turn into a good idea and a good motivator for guilds leaders to run for vanarchs.
If a vanarch could pick his own nexus time, he could almost guarantee it would be an "emptier" event for just a few guilds, therefore matching their schedule and generating less server stress.
I think its a good idea and should be more thought out along these lines: More nexus events, matching specific guild schedules. In turn this would mean more ppl attending nexus at diff times and less server stress.

Good point. Interactive powers + less server stress =win:P
The thing is, I agree with the fact that they should make it so you can't get the gear to fast. Once you are done and have your gear from the nexus, most players will stop doing it, and if you give the "hardcore" players the option, they will race through it as fast as possible (obviously) and then complain that there isn't any content.

If they have arena's out, I would say they should up the amount of events per week. As of right now, they need something like this so morons don't burn out, and still have something to do. That is the ENTIRE point of dailies, so why would they change the time sink of the nexus's. Agree with me or not, but games tend to have a mass exodus of players once they don't have anything to work toward, and if you take away that from the nexus, players won't have a reason to log on after a month or so unless they push out new content like raids.

The vanarchs could execute it poorly, but at the same time, if they do, they will get voted out, and then being a vanarch, or voting for the right vanarch, might have a legitimate reason to it.

In the end, no matter what times you post not everyone will be happy, but at least this way you can make it so you blame your local vanarchs who would respond to feedback in a timely manner, it would create a more vibrant community, and I think it would be a step toward a better set up then the current one they have now.
I posted this in the general forums but I wanted to post it here as well and see if I could get any additional feedback/thoughts from you guys.

Since the schedule right now for the nexus time screws over certain players (some people happen to work weekends, crazy:P) I was thinking that an interesting way to make the times different, but keep the gating mechanic so people don't get all their gear and stop doing it in two weeks, is to have the vanarchs of the area the nexus's take place in chose the times the nexus's will become available to their server. That way, guilds can cater to their community, and the community will give feedback and only vote for guilds that will have the nexus's on a time schedule that works well for everyone.

Getting the casual vote, or the european vote by hosting 1 event at an off-time, or a weeknight would most likely mean you would see a huge diversity of when these events could happen, verses the same static times dictated by enmass that happen to have the most people on. Just have the vanarch schedule when it will happen on a specific day, and the community will shape itself. I also think it would be a good idea since most guilds like to run HM guild groups during the weekends when they have members on, so having a nexus event during the weekday could easily make sense.

This could just be a waste of time, but I would really like to be able to do a nexus event in the near future and keep my job:P

Some people will despise what we are, some people will respect what we are.

A PvP guild, on a PvP server. I would love to keep my pony, but if not at least I am still rolling with players that I respect and love to play this game with.

Also, I mean, come on, how many people can actually stick with a game that's so damn repetitive, with [filtered] patch cycles, and makes you PvE for PvP gear without a little guild drama?:P It makes people get out of the wheel for a bit.

We could always use more votes!:P
