Beleb's Post History

I don't think BGs should be in this game at all. It will remove all open world pvp. Maybe you could do something 1x every 2 weeks for Vanarch status, but besides that all pvp should be OW-PVP. This will help you determine who the big dogs are on your server.
I didn't know of any korean games with BGs, unless you consider dredgion in aion a BG?
You can't see a targets level therefore you can't penalize people for pvping low levels. The only solution to that is making levels available to view but then you open up a whole other can of worms doing that.
The instances aren't dfficult at all so I don't see how it would be an issue to pve for gear. The drops are also pretty abundant and people were selling them left and right so even if you don't like to pve you can buy the gear from someone who does.

The only reward needed for pvp is the satisfaction that you killed someone and made their life crap for 10-15 minutes while they regroup and run back out. You also should be happy you asserted your dominance. No gear should be rewarded or coin rewarded. No penalty should be put in place. PvP should be a tool.

When pvp exists in this form, there is less griefing because most become bored. It also makes pvp more meaningful as people tend to fight over raid bosses and high level content.

Yes there will be griefers. I can guarantee though if restrictions are put into place for this many will find ways to exploit it. I being one of them. (e.g. those of you who played L2 remember dressing up your low level character in top tier gear, making someone think you were high level then letting them go red on you so you could jump them with your friends for their gear? Or convincing someone to heal you and flag right before the heal goes off causing them to flag for pvp?)

TL:DR - Restrictions encourage griefing- No restrictions = Good pvp/pve game!

What the heck are you talking about?

Restrictions? There are no restrictions placed on players in the proposed system.

You say there will be LESS griefers when the playerbase becomes bored? In reality, griefers are mostly bored players with nothing better to do.

You talk about "jumping players for their gear"? Dressing up low levels as high levels? This system doesn't include these features, and as far as I know TERA doesn't already allow for these types of activities. There's no corpse looting, for starters. So...

What the heck are you talking about?

-Travail.

I used examples from L2 where there were pvp restrictions hence the (e.g.) Learn to read. When restrictions are put on pvp, people use those restrictions to exploit and bend the rules to their advantage.

Yes there are no restrictions in pvp and I am completely fine with that. I just hope they don't implement BGs and keep things the way they are.

if this were true then wow, swtor and any of these casual games where people have the ability to sit in town and spam BG's and do dungeons without going anywhere would be overflowing with OWPvP, but they aren't so explain to me how your no reward system works?

Personally I agree I DON'T need a reward to go killin dudes whenever I want to just because, but sadly that's not how alot of mmo players are now a days.

Yes gear rewards or any type of rewards that contribute to making your character stronger, I extremely discourage anything of the sort.

Sorry, should have been more clear. No need for BGs since they discourage OWPVP. Or put the BGs on the PVE servers.
The disparity between level is always greatest in the beginning. I don't think at higher levels this issue will be seen.

I'm fairly certain that at lvl 27 people pvping were fairly evenly matched...
