Agreed as well. Open forums are a great way to let people that are interested in the game get an idea on the inner workings of the game. However, when you allow your forums to become full of people that do nothing but create threads meant to stir up drama, troll, and insult people, many of those people turn away. Eventually, other websites and reviewers will take notice and mention this.
Rift forums were called something along the lines of "an internet toilet" soon after launch by several reviewers, and it turned many people away. Trion quickly enacted new forum policies and enforced them, and now the forums are constructive, helpful, and a great learning and communication tool for players as well as developers.
If I didnt already own Tera, I doubt I would buy it and play if I was basing my decision on browsing the forums.
