Well, sounds to me like it's time to resubscribe. :D
The subs are dropping fast. Every one I have played with have quit, including myself. And all for the same damned reason. The end game sucks. It consists of running the same 2 or 3 dungeons over and over and over and over and over and over, and then once you do that you have to gamble all the money you earned through an enchanting system that rarely gives you a success (thus you have to repeat the cycle 5 to 10 more times, if you're lucky). So half my friends rage quit from enchanting, and the other half just from being bored of the same damned dungeons. We didn't even start hard modes because we just didn't want to get new gear, because then we'd have to deal with the crap enchanting and lux system again.
We dealt with it for the first month, in hopes that Nexuses and Political system would provide us with new content. But Nexuses are a crap schedule for us and they barely even work, and the political system is pretty pointless, vote for your guild, and off you go.
So, I wouldn't be suprised if the cities are becoming dead in servers aside from Dragonfall and VoT. Me and all my friends were from Jagged Coast. I'm still checking the forums once in awhile to find out about updates, hopefully addressing the boring frustrating repetitive end game. I'll probably be back when the Queen of Argon patch 2 comes out, and perhaps some of my friends will give the game a second chance, but if that patch doesn't fix the problems, we'll probably be gone for good.
So, yah... Back on topic: People are quitting. Population is going down. I'm sure a lot of us will be back once the big patch is out, but if that patch doesn't hook us, we'll probably be gone for good. So, En Masse. Fix Enchanting, Nexuses, and make more dungeon oriented progression instead of gambling progression, by the big patch, and I can guarantee you'll have more success then you would without.

Yah, I've been pvping a lot lately and there are two classes that can knock me down indefinitely and kill me. Lancers and Slayers. (I am Mystic). While Lancers it's rare because they can rarely catch up to me to even hit me, Slayers have backstab so it's impossible to dodge/avoid them constantly. Once backstab is off cooldown, they have a chance to get a few hits on me. And it's happened quite a few times where a Slayer gets me into a knockdown lock and kills me. I've had one Slayer knock me down 7 times in a row, not even enough time for me to get up and teleport. Went from 100% to dead without a single chance of doing anything to save my life. Not very skill based... Although, I tend not to complain about it too much in game because if it weren't for that knockdown lock, no melee would have a chance at all to kill me. But it definitely is a frustrating mechanic to feel completely helpless.
Me and my Slayer friend always pug ToT and we got our first 3 boss kill because we got lucky and were grouped with 3 people from Avid. So you guys already had my vote, even before I joined Crimson Knights. :)
I don't have a Priest, but I have a level 60 Mystic so I can give the pros and cons for a Mystic at max level in PvE and PvP.
Pros:
----------------------
Great mobility.
Awesome auras that can increase DPS of a group significantly (Double crit rate and constant mana regen for entire group). Also have a aura to increase everyones speed by 10% and increase everyones crit resistance by 50% which may come in handy in some pvp situations.
Owns at 1vs1 pvp and even 1vs2 pvp, only the occasional slayer can actually kill me. (Although the style of PvP with Mystic is to DoT your enemy up and kite them for 2 minutes until they're dead. Not everyones cup of tea) I just beat a fully geared lvl 60 Slayer and Beserker in a 2vs1 yesterday and didn't even go below 50% hp, so that's pretty OP if you can handle a Mystic correctly.
Balls allow us to heal the group even when we're not near them, which comes in handy in boss fights where the healer has to run to a pool or destroy totems and aren't near the rest of the group. Also, the MP balls makes Sorcerers into living Nukes if you give them a nice supply.
Lots of CC's, slows, and stuns that are good for any situation.
We have a spell we can cast on a single party member to allow them to revive instantly on death. It can be glyped to also allow us to revive on death, as well as the party member. It can be glyphed further to have a shorter cooldown and you can get up to 3 people (including yourself) have the auto rez at a time in a party.
Cons
-----------------------------
Lowest DPS in the game.
Most Thralls are pretty much worthless. Only one you'll ever use is the little healing fairy.
Stats on items to increase your healing only affects your single direct heal. Doesn't affect balls or fairy or totem.
Totem heals suck and the shield it applies to people only lasts like 3 seconds.
No real AoE heals (Fairy does one but it's minimal). No AoE cleans. Although a good Mystic doesn't need either of these if they're good at targetting people.
Our Power buff only lasts like half a minute, and only increases power by 25 (Same amount as priests I believe, but priests last for like 20 minutes) so it has to be constantly reapplied, and it uses a ton of mana.
Not as much self heals as a Priest so easier to kill in PvP. However proper use of stuns and cc can help alleviate that.
Not nearly as many heals as Priests, and our heals only heal for about 60% compared to a Priests heal. So much weaker heals. (although in Dungeons with a good group, ouramount of healing is more then sufficient, and our auras are worth it)

And if I think of more I'll add it to this post, but those are the main ones I can think of.

Lately, just hanging about at Lumbertown bridge dueling people and killing outlaws. The other night I teamed up with some gankers for a 5 vs 5 with Avalon, and we owned them twice in a row before they decided to bring their entire guild and pretty much 10+vs5 us. Was pretty fun though. :)

Like I said before, it's pay to save time. I'm no better then anyone else from spending real life cash, just possibly getting things quicker. Besides, the best stuff in the game isn't buyable with cash, we all have to grind the same dailies and do the same dungeons for the BoP gear. It's a convenience thing, not a winning thing. I've play some F2P mmorpg's where only people who were willing to invest $100-200 bucks a month into the game would actually have the best items. That's pay to win, and it's [filtered] stupid.

Why shouldn't I buy it? Those people with hundreds of hours to spend have hundreds of hours to spend. I have a full time job and a girlfriend. I don't have that kind of time. Therefore the people with no jobs and no family have a unfair advantage over me. Therefore since I have lots of money in real life, I balance it out by buying gold.

Hey, calm down, no need for name calling. I play the game because I enjoy it. I enjoy it more with money. I don't play it to grind my [filtered] off doing repetitive mundane tasks, I play it to enjoy it. And if buying gold helps me enjoy it more, then what's wrong with that? Better then spending hundreds of hours doing repetitive tasks that make me want to pull my hair out.
But it is Pay to Win. Pay real money to get your item to +9. You are already stronger then everyone else and didn't even have to work hard for it. How much more obvious can that get?

People farm for instance hundred of time and many hours each day for drop and to get their item to +9. But people that buy real money can bought everything and having everything handed to them without any work and move on to do other end game, while we stuck farming for hours and always be behind the person who bought the gold.

You're such a Douche bag excepting you buy Gold from Chinese Farmers. Everytime you buy gold it hurt the legitimate players, hurting the game. More gold spam, more farmers are born because you are supporting them. Don't have the time to play the game? While even bother playing then if everything is handed to you? Just quit the game already.

Buying gold or buying items with real money to make gold isn't pay to win. It's pay to save time. Pay to win is when certain items that are better then others are only available on the premium store, and I doubt they'll have that. So I am against this vote. I've always bought gold from chinese farmers in other games because I don't have as much time as everyone else to farm countless hours, so I pay an hours worth of money in the real world to save me 20+ hours worth of grinding in game. This game at least will allow me to buy my gold from a reliable source.
Yah I would really like some Nexuses on weekday nights. I work all week, so my weekends are my time to hang out with my girlfriend and have a life.. Which means I can't get Nexus gear without sacrificing other things.
Yah, I'd be willing to buy my equipment enchants. I make enough money in real life with my real job, I don't have the time for a second job on a video game just to get my gear.
