Except that I don't see it as self defeating--since I know there are other games out there that will give me what I want (or give you what you want). I see it as using my time and energy more wisely.

Forcing a single company to do what I want? Not worth my time. Give me a petition that says (for example), 'no company should be allowed to gouge their customers this way and it should be law'? Yeah, that I'll get behind, because it actually targets the whole industry, and not just the one particurlaly company I'm having a problem with (and that won;t really address the problem when future companies adopt the same model).

I'm good with voting with my wallet; not so much on complaining about a single entity in a sea of entities doing the same thing. I know I have other places I can go to to get what I want.

And yeah, when you start dragging out big scale analogies, it can come across wrong in comparisons if you're not precise about the point you're trying to make. Probably would have been better to just say 'I believe in starting with small things--petitions with one company at a time--and that it can work *Cite examples*' rather than go out on a limb with a general comparison on a grand scale--the point was a bit lost.

Forgive me... but you are missing the point.

They are not gouging their customers. This is an OPTIONAL service. You don't NEED these items.

And frankly if you cannot afford to spend $10 on something then you need to stop playing this game. You're expecting handouts.

Most of you will move to Gw2. And there will be a cash shop there, and I will mostly be spending money there. Why? Because I can. Life isn't fair.... I really would have hoped you all learned this by now. But get over it.

Some people aren't

Some people feel that they are entitled to all the content the developers make because they pay a subscription and that said content should be available through in game feats or achievements.



I know I mean seriously. I payed $10 for a cool looking weapon skin. Everyone else has the option to pay for said skin and anything else in the cash shop. No one is not able to .

Oh and people say "Oh well we already pay $15 a month for the game."

Well... I pay $100s for an airline ticket, but whenever I want to upgrade to first class I have to pay extra. It's a perk, just like my weapon skin. It doesn't really do anything. I get to the same location. But I don't hear people in economy class complaining they don't get the same level service.

People should stop complaining. If you cannot afford to spend $10 (THE PRICE OF A PIZZA) on a one time weapon skin that you want, you may have issues financially. Also please come to the understanding that you do not need this weapon skin or anything from this shop. Do I need the $10 weapon skin for my Elin Warrior? No. I really don't. And in all honest I most likely should have bought some food with that $10. But I didn't, I like to spoil myself. Seriously, please for the love of this game do not start to complain what people spend their money on. I have my money and you have yours. We both can do what we want with it. And I choose to blow it on this game.

*Edit... Just checked Guild Wars 2 Guru and I am able to purchase 10 Random loot Bags for 550 gems. 400 Gems will cost about 4.80 euros, which is about $.01 per gem. So I can spend $12 and get 10 bags filled with Random loot. Therefore I just payed $12 for items which may be epics. I just payed for my gear. Enjoy Guild Wars 2. :) *

Suggestion taken. Next month in the Cash Shop Jester Hat for 20 dollars.


Is sad and angry because either "Can't afford $20 for a hat" or "Feels that someone a hat will make someone different and damn it you cannot have diversity in an MMO, no way no how."

Just to let you know. World of Warcraft, one of the highest played MMOs in the world right now, has a cash shop. O.O!!!

You can buy mounts and pets from said Cash Shop.

Guild Wars 2 has a cash shop.

In that one you can even buy EXP boost.

Riot games with LoL, has a Cash Shop to buy exp boost as well as unlocking the characters.

All of the items sold in the cash shops are purely cosmetic. If anyone feels that it is hindering their ability to play this game. Please show yourself out. I'm sick of hearing people complain because they can't afford the $10 weapon skin or the $25 mount I have. It's just disgraceful.

Seriously, this cash shop allows for more intake of revenue for the company.

Are you people going to go down to Nike and [filtered] about some limited edition shoe? Or perhaps mount a complain against how McDonalds shouldn't serve breakfast because it's not fair for people to get it after 11:00am?
