I've had this problem pretty much every time he goes to the other tree set. I've only had experience with it as an archer, who's shots are regularly wasted by glitchy wall detection. I'm not sure if it affects any other classes. Rain of Arrows and ranged explosion trap don't seem to be affected by this issue, so I usually save those instead of using them on the boss just in case. That seems to be enough of a guarantee that the tree will go down even if Penetrating or Radiant arrow whiff, granted everyone in the party is doing their part.
I do farm ET/LoT for them, but that doesn't make it any less of a pain to constantly fail. If anything, it just limits the amount of tries I get to attempt per day
Stopped keeping track, but I'm around 40 attempts on my bow and still not MW. Pretty frustrating, and I can't realistically spend money on scrolls since the price is up to a ludicrous 300+ gold. I might as well make a second weapon at that price.
Any designated rules on gear/item limitations? Specifically concerning nexus PVP gear and the damage reflect bonus on armors.
I've seen one person with it. I guess it's just stupidly rare? At least that means they will be worth selling, unlike the practicum necklace...
3rd boss is regularly duo'd by just a lancer and DPS; healer is only required if the lancer isn't at their best or the DPS can't kill quickly enough on their own. I'm also aware of sorcerers being able to solo it, but they may be "overgeared" (tier 13 stuff). Saying it can't be done is quite frankly kind of narrow minded.
Has anyone had luck soloing the third boss as archer? I've been trying to practice on the scythera fae world boss since it's difficult to get the opportunity to attempt in the instance itself but find it very hard to avoid damage. I feel like the DPS requirement could be met if archer's evades are in fact good enough to avoid taking all of it's big hits.
Poison arrow has a glyph that increases charge speed by something like 30%. It also has a base damage of 900 which is decent, on top of the actual poison damage. My question is, what are you doing if you aren't using poison arrow? All of your other skills should already be on cooldown by the time you use it, so there shouldn't be anything else to do really.
Going to bump this to ask a question I've been wondering about for awhile. What's the preferred charm for archers? I've noticed greater keen charm's crit increase appears fairly low (Don't remember exact number). A power charm can easily add about 3k attack power, but criticals being what they are I would assume the keen is still preferred in most cases where crits are optimal in the first place. There's also speed charms which I've toyed around with a bit- it's definitely nice but difficult to really gauge how helpful it is for raw DPS. Any thoughts?
I'm not much of a number cruncher myself so you'll have to excuse me if this is a silly question, but is the baseline of 15% crit to maintain optimum damage on a crit build applied across all skills, or do certain skills (Radiant, Penetrating, ROA) need to be doing the crits to maintain the overall DPS bonus? I've noticed both poison and restraining arrow can deal acceptable crit damage (80~90k I recall seeing a few times but I haven't been looking recently) but don't provide the same instantaneous damage increase that a critical Radiant would provide (250-300k+). I would imagine the actual time of the battle would also be a factor for this.
I appreciate your detailed info Karyudo. I've been utilizing crit crystals for awhile but now that I'm doing HMs and ToT I find my crit rate on most of the bosses seems rather pathetic. It may be just bad luck, and I end up sticking with the crit crystals in situations where I believe they will be the best option (DPS Timers mostly) but I find myself falling back on mutinous crystals more frequently than not.
