This might be a stupid question but...

"You take 3%/3.5%/4% less damage from frontal attacks."

Does this mean the monster's or you? Meaning, does the monster have to do a frontal attack, looking at you for this to take effect?

Or as long as you are FACING a monster, this is in effect.

Pretty sure it's you facing the monster. Good mostly for tanks, and if you don't run away from a little girl. I've tested it before, but I don't have an armor with it to test now, so I can't completely confirm.

And I haven't been in this thread for a while, for healers they always have a "Heals, XXXX HP". It increases the potency of your healing spells by XXXX/1000 (You heal twice as much if XXXX=1000). All non-healer/Sorcs, have the MP stat and it lets you regain MP from auto attack. It always appears so I didn't care about listing it.
You can check the animation files yourself to see if there's a different. I tried checking it a few months ago, but I forgot where I put my results (there's a lot of classes, classifying which animation is which), and such, and whether they actually affect anything (or if it's all controlled server side).

I think there are a few frames difference between races, but nothing major.
I miss my pink +12 weapon from KTera.
They're accessible, so instead of spellbind costing 16g each from the vendor, they're like 50g ea on the broker (gold has inflated a lot). MW alkahest was 30g ea, now much higher depending on the broker.

But it's easier to get gold now.

I think cost of everything has doubled, but it's still doable, mostly depends if you have a good group of friends to play with to earn money consistently. Everything revolves around $.

Check "Display cooldown notices", 3 from the bottom.

I too am outraged that Obba/Manaball shared the research and strategy that they used to successfully down a boss monster. I find it infuriating that they presumed to offer their useful advice and observations.

---

In seriousness, I do have a few questions:

1) DPS Positioning with circle method. Do they just follow behind Kelsaik and run around the circle as well?
2) Debuff Ticks. Are they lowered by periodic damage enchants? Anarchics?
3) List of Debuffs that do work on Kelsaik 20m?
4) Adds. Can they be expected during a successful attempt, or is it basically a wipe at that point?
5) Healer Placement. Where should they be while the boss is moving?
6) Crystal Breakage. Does the entire raid attack the thing to 20%, or do you designate a few people to do it?
7) Lancer Shield and Fire Waves. If the protective zone raises too fast or too slow, does lancer block mitigate damage from it?
8) Thoughts on DPS Tightness. I was thinking of running 3 Lancer, 7 Healer, 10 DPS. Would we need more DPS to do this, assuming that our DPS is well geared (iLVL 159+)
9) Elins. I'm thinking of not bringing them because they are Elins. Discuss. (Kidding).

1) You just follow the boss, position yourself relative to the boss so you know where Fire pillars explode.
2) I'll check tonight, but I watched Enviied's stream and she was ticking at 7% per 2 second. Not sure if she has poison accessories or not. It won't be affected by Anarchics for sure.
3) I think everything lands, important ones are Debilitate/Combative Strike and Traverse Cut, and Kelsaik's fire weapon.
4) If you dip below 12 alive, expect adds, but if more people die, then expect a wipe. You can recover if a few adds spawn.
5) Tank healer is in front of the boss, raid healers are behind with the raid. You can heal from the side too, but you won't be able to catch everyone.
6) The whole raid auto attacks.
7) I haven't seen it in our attempts
8) Our runs have been with 3 tanks, 5 healers, and remaining DPS. DPS ability is more about not dying to fire and needing a rez + charms, rather than gear.

Instance =/= raid.
@Enviied

The AoE is octogonal, not hexagonal, it's the same as KNHM.
8 pillars: one each at 12, 3, 6, 9 o'clock, plus in between them.

@Dazzle

Your DPS won't be behind the boss for back crit to activate, you'll be losing a lot of DPS from that. IMO that would lose DPS efficiency. Also, your melee DPS would get hit by the single paw attacks that he does.
I use it for 50% damage reduction, although it's less useful in the more recent dungeons. It was useful to survive big lasers, or other generally big hits especially with the Lancer's Pledge.

And yes, it was OP in KTera waaay back when, but less so now.
I remember using it for Knockdown on Nightmare Audacious (BT's final boss) when getting the DPS check sub 35% was difficult. I rarely use it now, since its knockdown is not nearly as high as some VM slayers (who can known down Kelsaik in HM).
