I guess Something Terable is a GLBT-friendly guild.
When I was in there for a couple of months, I didn't see any racial/gay jokes during guild or party chat that you expected from your typical playerbase of this generation.
People joked around of course, but there was a line that majority of them didn't cross that would come out hateful from my experience.
The guild is more of a lay-back, don't act stupid/jerks to your guildies/people, and just enjoy the game at your own pace kinda guild.
When the QoA2 patch is released, I will try to app into the guild again.
Not surprising.
But anyway...Did yall report Wei?
This is such a clear cut evidence that there isn't a point to deny it.
If EME is reading this or if someone already did report it to EME, EME will probably look at all the people in the guild and check their daily activities.
Why? Because being on 24/7 and with no /DND or invisible mode without any of your guildies reporting it in as suspicious activity...
Welp...As you know the old saying, "bad apples don't fall far from the tree."
"@Clis - yet another blown out of proportion statement, all I was saying is that they would repeatedly whisper people to join and spam guild invites until the person blocked them."
Jellad, I am in a business where communication is very important.
There is no such thing as: Sorry, my statement was blown out of proportion and caused you thousands of dollars in damage due to the wrong wordings of our contract.
I know this is the internet, and we don't have lawyers combing each word to make sure the usage is stated and implied correctly.
When using words like "high pressure tactic", and then later on with the words "joining into", you are implying that a certain person has a great skill set with the ability to influence other.
This isn't out of proportion.
It is the literal usage of these words.
"using high pressure tactics to pressure people into joining their guilds"-Statement of confirmation that you know that they do this type of thing, and the tactic has great success because of being pressured into the guild.
"They might even try to go as far as using high pressure tactics to influence people into joining their guilds"-Statement of questionable fact because you don't really know if they do use these tactics or not, or if the influence plays into the part of being forced into joining the guild or not joining the guild.
So do you have strong evidence on the usage of these high pressure tactics?
And what is the successful rate of joining, the vote turnout, and the turn overrate from these tactics?
What next?
You are telling me that the sky is blue?
All you have to do is press P and stand next to a campfire, you will see your stats go up as your stam goes up.
Or people can scroll over their Stam icon and read the description...
Kids these days...
Good thing my daughter is in a private school because I feel sorry for the general public education if someone can't figure such a simple thing for a videogame.
You don't even need to shame him across all of Dragonfall forum as well...
I feel bad for the kid now...He can't read words or numbers.
Yawn, another fake political drama topic.
After 1 month+ being on this server after transferring with my daughter from Arachnaea...I have to say this server has to be the number 1 tryhard server ever, more so than VoT.
An Anti-Zerg-Alliance calling bunch of high end lvl guilds as a "zerg guild"...Where they have no reason to even go to Island of Dawn and recruiting bunch of noobies and alts.
And high end pressure tactics? Wasn't there a bunch of pictures of AZA memberships doing that already on the forum? Yet there has not been any picture of any of the high end guilds from SPECTRE even trying to recruit other people with this so called "high end pressure tactics".
Furthermore, what does high end pressure even mean? This is an online game, aka, no one gives a crap about anyone e-feeling.
What next? You are telling me people actually wanted to commit murder on Justin Beiber in real life because they posted it Youtube? Should I call the FBI?
And holy cow, where can I meet this person that can influence others to join their guild with "high end pressure tactics"? By just using typed words across the internet, I am very impressed by his/her action.
I want him to work for my company, we are the middleman between lenders btw.
And if this person wants a great career in being a broker, please PM me.
Such a skill can't go to waste on TERA, use your masterful tactics on real stuff like striking a deal for a better rate for your commission.
And no, I am not joking. I am a hiring manager/recruiter for my company.
Please reply to this thread if you want to, and explain to me how you are able to influence and communicate your idea across a computer screen toward another person, and allowing them to believe that they are acting according to their own will.
You can then PM me your email address privately, and I will look over your resume and I will consider this as an interview.
Only time will tell of course, being in a TeamSpeak and listening to 2 gm's discuss plans for taxes is not here-say it is what I heard first hand.
Believe what you will but I can tell you flat out that no member of the AZA will ever raise taxes past 1% that has always been our plan, and always will be.
Wait...I thought Something Terable set the rate at 1% because AZA was setting everything at 3-5% near their provinces.
And Enclave didn't have the Specialty store up as well, I was forced to fly to Lumbertown because I couldn't enchant my gear that I just got from Fane...
After that I just said screw it and just stocked up on dusts until the 1% tax was uniformed across the board.
And a few days later, someone from your alliance trolled the 1% club topic about "LOLWUT? We didn't break promises, we always stated tax rate will never exceed 3%."
/Facepalm...
If you said that 1% have always been your plan, at least prove it somehow, but in reality it wasn't at all across your AZA alliance provinces.
Words are just words right now.
Until everyone starts jacking up the tax rate %, then I will believe you.
I hope both alliances will just stfu and "game of throne" each others.
Too bad it will never happen, oh well, my small guild will just vote for the guilds that always supported the 1% rate.
So screw all of you guys.
PS: Vote for Dead Flat Chest. They are a fun bunch and no drama surround them but just cute Elins.
At the most fundamental level, 2% tax is 100% more tax than 1%. A premium is being charged to shop and use services in these non-1% provinces. Why?
I guess to recoup losses incurred during the campaign? Maybe hold an event with that money? Shrug, I'm just saying, people shouldn't be outraged/shocked when the candidates they voted for already clearly stated how they were going to set the taxes. It takes effort to keep the shops open, so why not?
Like I said, personally I'm satisfied as long as the rates are below 5%. With the game throwing money at your face, a difference in 1% or 2% doesn't really matter (as long as npcs stay open) in my opinion. It honestly irks me more to see Vanarchs feeling the need to jump on the 1% bandwagon because the majority is doing it.
I don't know... maybe I just feel there's a lack of features in the system and being a Vanarch doesn't feel special especially when everyone sets things to 1% and makes it even less diverse.
Why does helping out the server irked you?
I know you support Enclave since you are a member, that is fine.
But again, helping out the Dragonfall community is a bad thing now?
These vanarchs are not jumping on the bandwagon.
They know what they are doing.
It is just economics 101 in what they are doing.
It is a free market system, people will go where in the long run give them the best benefit.
If you want to use the default 5% tax as the measurement stick(since you kept bringing it up) then you are saving 10g per enchantment dusts for T12 items at 1%.
And with the low rate of getting +8/9, you will save hundreds if not thousands in the long run on all your gear. Unless of course you get lucky and get +9 with no failure rate on all 4 items, then this speaking point is null.
So try doubling the tax rate at 2% then you can see that your saving will not be that much.
So again, why do you hate helping out the server?
You don't like us lvl 60 players? You want us to suffer the enchantment curse by using more and more of our gold?
You said that extra % is for the effort of just being a vanarch.
So now us common folks are your slave? We have to pay extra for you so you can keep the shop open for us?
Are you threaten us with the DOUBLE tax %?
Because if so, I will go somewhere else.
Unstuck from Fane===>Lumbertown.
Unstuck from BT====>Bastion.
10s to fly somewhere and dump all my gold is reasonable to do so in the long run.
I hope you don't speak for your guild, Enclave, or your Vanarch because you irk me in the wrong way too.
You are treating the community as some form of "spoils of war" from the election.
You charge us extra because you have to recoup the 3000g you spent on the election.
I can't even believe that you considered doing special events, opening shops/trainers/brokers as a burden to you and your guild; and that somehow the 200% increase in tax is justifiable on the community.
Once again, why do you hate us as a community?
Why are we a burden to you and your guild?
Vanarchs are voted to serve the community, but somehow, you kept defending and twisting words to say that the tax rate is reasonable because your guild needs the money.
We don't need you, we don't need your service, we will take our business else where.
To us demotion to recruit denies him access to guild activites such as organized dungeon runs,
You guys can't be serious right?
He can't join his guildies to do dungeon runs?
If I am a recruit, how long must I be in to get membership benefits to even group up in an organized guildies run?
Thank you Kitsilano for the incredible list.
As you can tell from my previous forum topic, I was disgusted by some guilds with 3-7%!!!! tax rate.
I will be using Lumbertown when I am in Arun, and Bastion when I am doing BT of course.
