There are a couple of huge PvP imbalances at the moment with no end in sight.. but other than that the game has lots of potential to be great.
You can with the motes because they auto dispel. Still, similar with priest dispelling then healing it's far too slow because by the time you dispel and prepare to cast a heal they can probably have the debuff applied on you again.. not to mention in pvp you have lots of other tasks to do. Can't just hide in a corner and spam stuff on yourself. So yeah.. game is getting pretty sad. No response to the archer/dwarr stagger exploits, only content bonus is KN got steroids, and now a nice balance patch here.
Looks like a pretty nice update to me. Always thought that heals were unnecessary in PvP. Also, I like that mystics are the only viable option. Priests being less useful in PvE is really good so I think it'd help a lot if we made them useless in PvP too. Mystic balls are still able to heal.

Hm. Current problems with the game that are quite annoying seem to be:
-D stance stagger spam/archer stagger spam/ any one stagger spamming, and too many arena games people rely on only staggers to win rather than actually fighting
-Lancers are the master class, have huge defense+block+leashes+debuffs+ very high burst dmg
-Mystic infinite blink fairy god mode

+++++ Best post on forums recently. A very logical and much needed solution to the problem we have going on here. We need these implemented, along with new contents such as new bg/3v3 modes, arena quills (or edit bloodrave gear), other unique items. I play arena only for fun, but not many do. To get the community going we need some serious revamps in rewards.
As stated it is an extremely extremely obvious problem when regardless of skill/gear no one can legitimately achieve the weapon. I'm not sure if it's even worth it any way compared to VM but that's a different problem. No one wants to be the loser and have their rating tank down. The system has to give more of a benefit to losers, and get extra incentive going.
At this state of the game, from some one who has played around 700 arena games with every comp of every skill level/gear level, I'd say that the devs be required to memorize this post word by word like a scripture. It's REALLY REALLY needed.

I suppose any extra participation/practice events are better than nothing, and I myself am glad to fight against good players. However, for the community I wouldn't propose that the joy of being certain to fight very high geared players is some thing that is going to increase participation or motivate any one to do arena that normally wouldn't. That's basically how it always is. If you really want to help the community break into 3's, perhaps each team could pick up a player that wants to learn 3's but isn't very experienced and teach them and give them a good chance for once.

Like I always say, if it's cool to make PvP gear meaningless, you have to equalize MCHM too. It'd be retarded to get rid of PvP gear but say oh PvE grind-mode is extremely special and you have to work extra for that and no work at all for PvP gear.
Part of the lure of MMO's is customizing your gear and earning it, if they got rid of all that it'd probably hurt participation in the end. How many other successful MMO's have no item or level aspect to them? A few, but not many. Whether we want to admit it or not there are thousands of players geared out in at least full conjunct, or more. But they are never in the arena. Why? Part 1 because they live in fear of losing a game and ruining their non-existent super reputation, and part 2 because the arenas need REAL unique rewards.

A glitch? It's one of my favorite places! There are lots of zones and cities that could use some monstrous bam harassment.
