Didn't work for me
The irony is that the word irony isn't being used correctly here.
Sounds like you need to do a new paste job. What Alienware do you have? I have the M14X and I'm about to repaste my card. I run at up to 90c at certain games, but most recently with the new Nvidia beta driver, my laptop heat has been considerably lower and at the same time gave a better performance.

Well there's the problem right there. EME needs to be under rocket fire in order to speed up the work! Hand me that RPG!
also @ekoos
One of my tours was working in the squadron (we were an infantry/cav unit, I was a 13F) tactical command center. We had to set up our own (small) internal network, with customized software/hardware and get all those systems talking to each other.
These are systems that were already in use by other squadrons.
You know how long it took us to get it working (in Garrison testing)?
3 weeks.
You know how long it took us to take those same systems, that were already set up, and get them working properly in theater? 3 days (on systems that were working with configurations AND equipment that DID NOT CHANGE between final garrison testing and deployment), with occasional incoming rocket attacks.
Point being -- I actually HAVE the experience to back up what I say. Plus I can do it while taking fire :p

You ordered it online.
I hate to jump on the rage bandwagon but they charged my credit card.... I'd be totally fine if it was a normal preorder and they didn't charge me until launch but the fact is i've already payed.
I know beta will be beta, i just don't understand why they charged my card for this.

I don't know why everyone's in such a rush to play the game and start a character to only lose it before actual launch. Honestly I think it's better that it happens now than when the game is released, broken.
Read the posts, they have the servers to use, but they're not putting them out there until they figure out what happened. If you have a broken product, the solution isn't to multiply it, but fix it first and then release it.
