I agree with the OP. Additionally preorder kind of got boned when the decision was made not to wipe OBT characters made by accounts that do not preorder before launch.

I wouldn't use Dragon Age as an example. Armour mods are the the second thing to hit the nexus, right after nude patches.

I can't seem to find it on the site now but I am sure I read (on the official site somewhere or during character creation) that while warriors can tank this is very difficult and will always be secondary to lancers. When I rolled my warrior, I just took this as a tried and trued rule through playtest and never even considered playing as a tank. I am sure other players shared this attitude.
If there are warriors tanking, that is awesome but the class had a 5 star difficulty rating so I was going to play as easily as possible.
