Good post. I agree even being one level off sets yourself up for failure or success and gear is the only deciding factor that makes or breaks you. Crystals help but do little IMO. There should be more options out there. Though keep in mind you're wanting to change a huge chunk of the game.

Well put!
Actually the game isn't PvE first with PvP as a side addition. In Korea there are no PvE servers. There is only PvP. And the upcoming alliance patch is being held up by the PvE servers as it introduces open world PvP components which they need to find a solution for the PvE servers.
I really wish that people on PvE servers that complain about grieving on PvP servers would actually level a character to 60 on one. Griefing only really occurs in Arcadia and some outside Popolion. The rest of the way to 60 is almost completely clear of high levels going after lowbies. While you are in Arcadia there are 10 channels to stay safe in. There is plenty of same level PvP going on as people fight over mobs. As much as it can suck to get pk'd it feels that much better to kill someone who flags on you.
People are much more interesting of an opponent than a mob, and you are much better at PvP if you learn how to fight as you are leveling. When you do hot 60 the server is a lot more interesting as there are more storylines attached to GvGs. How often do you get guild to ally on a PvE server and declare in a way that has armies of 100 strong fighting.
There is more to a PvP server than 60s ganking lowbies.
Well put!
I remember playing seeing +6 enchants on screen for the world to see.
Happy anniversary guys! Now where is ma pirate suit!?
Happy anniversary guys! Now where is ma pirate suit!?
I get an umbrella. SO HARDCORE AND DEEP.
There must be a lot of weenies on Mt. Tight [filtered] if a vanarch gets voted to disable PvP in an area. Makes griefing more fun.
People say whatever they want and if it offends you report out and move on. When I log in to play during lunch time global isn't so bad, but also sometimes it can be really bad. So it's hit and miss but at least there aren't gold spammers.
Now make it possible for vanarchs to enable PVP in PVE servers and I will love this game forever.
Looks like someone played a trick on you!
I recommend coming over here, brother! The server response time would be much faster and the GM's DO give a damn. I haven't seen them on much, but that doesn't mean they do not respond. I HAVE seen them on the forums frequently to answer questions.
I pay for a sub with no issues with my credit card and have bought items in the cash shop without any problems. Sure it sucks having to redownload the whole game again, but I assure you it would be for the better

Montreal is half French/English, no need to insult someone.

It's more social than most mmo's I played

The guy I was helping out explained to me he hadn't played since launch and was lost. I told him to check the website, he got back to me and asked me questions about crystals, glyphs, enchanting, and I ended up emptying my bank of lvl 20 items since we were the same class. Made it beneficial to me because I didn't want to just throw that junk away and ended up teaching him how to upgrade stuff. He got an his weapon upgraded to +7 lol
the game isn't about social interaction except from your perspective. else none of the content could be handled solo. as with any mmo, how you want to play it is up to you. if you want to be social, you can, if you want to solo, you can. if you want to ignore everyone you can and still reach endgame. your skill as a player is more important than how social you are.
just clearing up that misconception that mmo=social, not even facebook games = social, people will friend you to add to their game, and never talk to you, you're just a semi warm body to boost whatever they happen to need. and easier than making multiple accounts. some mmo's have tried to force social interaction, and like facebook, it never works as intended.
everyone plays how they want.

The majority of people who have asked me for "help", are not looking for help. They're looking for someone to do something for them.
They do not care to learn for themselves, they do not care for advice, crystal information, glyph information.
If someone actually makes an attempt themselves, then needs help, I've got all the time in the world for them.
