lol promising to get a mention on kotaku, without even telling Fahey. What a douche.
"Or maybe you'll run into someone from Passion, the guild I currently belong to, whose guild leader held a contest and promised the winning guild a mention on Kotaku without consulting me first. If he ever does anything like that again, I am setting him on fire."
OMG hahaha! That is classic. I'm beginning to wonder if Valentio thinks he owns Arborea **and** planet Earth.
Not sure where you're at, but it's happening on Dragonfall. There's actually a zone with only 4 guilds running, so the 5th province wont even have a Vanarch. And the zones that have more than 5 can't switch cuz the GMs wont let them. Figure that one out.
Well said.
Whewwwww, take a breath there, Chico! That may have been the longest run-on sentence in history! But yes, LOL, I got your point. I agree that to most people, it would be a waste of time for such little reward, however, if you read Valentio's interview, he makes it pretty clear that he's narcissistic ego maniac, so one could come to a pretty solid conclusion that he is in it for the power trip, the infamy and the glory. Which also means he'll likely do anything to win. **IF** that's what he's all about, I actually don't have a problem with that. every great story needs a villain, and people should be allowed to play their character how they want. if we don't like it, we just need to vote him out of office. He's just going to make that really hard to do, because he builds a great Kool-aid stand. Props to him.
I guess the game didnt like when i turned in 100 qsts at one time?
That's probably exactly the problem. During head start, my friends and i finished hundreds of repeatables to turn in on opening day, in order to power through a few levels. Not only were we not able to turn them in, but we also couldn't pick up any new ones. The solution for some was to run the repair tool, others had to reinstall. both methods resulted in losing the finished quests, but at least we could pick up new ones again. Good luck to you!
I think they just misspoke. It has already been established that they were talking about the free 30 days in May (which turned out to be up to six weeks for some accounts.) For a while, before the 7-day free trial started, people were referring to the 30-day period as a "free trial", which is semantically inaccurate since one had to buy the game to get it. However it is widely known that thousands of accounts were returned to some retailers before the free 30 days ended.
Mewnie,
I am not a sock-puppet for the AZA (nice use of the word though, I like it.) I am not an *anything* for the AZA. Not even a supporter. In the interest of full disclosure, the extent of my knowledge and interactions with them have taken place here on the public forums and in one pug run where a Malicious lancer did a right fine job and seemed like an alright bloke. I put him on my friends list and the last time I checked, he's not even in their guild anymore. I didn't vote for any AZA guilds in the last election, and I may not vote for them this time either.
I did vote for Passion, and I'm becoming increasingly disappointed in that choice. Why? Because with every post fools like you make, it's becoming increasingly obvious that you don't answer the tough questions, and whenever anyone challenges you, you just make baseless accusations like calling people sock-puppets and two-faced, without anything to back it up. Let me guess, you were an alright person too, before you started drinking the Spectre Kool-Aid, right? RIGHT? Lets face it, trying to have a discussion with you folks is like pissing into the wind. All you do is accuse people who don't think like you of being members of the AZA, and of using smear tactics. It's becoming very clear how few of you even know what that term means. If you're going to use dirty politics to win at any cost, do very public interviews that make you look like aszhats and then get pissed when the spotlight makes you glow an evil shade of red, then get the hell out of politics. Clearly, you can't handle it.
Now then, it's Friday night and I have a life, so I'm going to go live it. It would be lovely if you would all do the same.

- Reason: stupid filter, what is this, preschool? This game is rated M, FFS.
wait a minute, who the [filtered] are you, Sira is Sira, and you can message in game and receive a returned message from a 60 sorcerer named Sira. Do not ever make baseless claims crossing me with anyone else again.
edit: i was going to just let this go, but not after what you just said
popcorn more and leave me the [filtered] out of it next time.
My humblest apologies, Madam. Earlier in the thread you posted right after each other. Your avatars are the same (I realize there aren't many choices), your writing style is nearly identical and your names are only one letter off. It was an honest mistake.
You don't really sound like an undecided voter to me. .. you sound like someone trying to encourage dissent.
1. I could be wrong but there was no free trial during the last election or are you talking about something else? I heard about server transfer voting exploits but Passion was ahead all along I thought. The exploit thing would have taken some time to get off the ground. Passion is a big guild in an alliance, why would it surprise you that they have support if their campaign was planned well and they promoted their guild.
2. The whole conjecture that Nyssa is Valentio I just find ludicous. What's with that? There are many people who have spoken to Valentio and Nyssa on various occasions and it's making the OP-er look very silly to keep saying it. I hardly think that's an "important issue". i think you need to let that one go.
3. The questions you are bringing up about infighting, members leaving or being kicked...where did you get that from? more mudsling, more unfounded speculation, more smear tactics based on nothing.
If you are an undecided voter, I'm a fairy princess and live in a magic castle.
Sirah (or Nyssa, or Shamunti, or whichever personality you choose to be this hour):
If you must know, I am not in a guild and Passion is one of the two guilds I voted for in the last election (I didn't vote for a third because I didn't know anything about any of the candidates and an uninformed voter is a bad one), which is why this topic interests me. Given the statements and double speak Valentino is displaying, I'm not sure I will again, so yes, I am undecided.
Yes, you are wrong, everyone was under the free 30 days during that first election, no one had to actually pay for a sub to cast a vote. Many people who voted in that election are no longer playing because they never paid to sub, so IMHO that whole election counts for nothing.
As for the rest of question 1 and question 3, do you ever read area chat or lfg chat or group with people outside of your guild, or read other forums?. Passion's exploits and those of other guilds have been a hot topic. A lot of former members have been very vocal about the tactics that were used... there were agreements with guilds on other servers that they would all make alts on each others servers to cast votes for each other, there were people voting here, transferring off server, voting on the new server, waiting 24 hours and then trasferring back and voting here again. that could actually b done several times during the span of one voting cycle, resulting in multiple votes from the same person. Since then, Eme has made it so you can only transfer every 7 days. There were people buying accounts, leveling to 20, voting and then never subbing. All kinds of crazy stuff went on in that last election, and you'll notice Passion isn't denying any of it. Why? Because they were outed by people who helped them do it. So now all Valentio can say is that it wasn't cheating because they didn't get banned. They didn't get banned because the problem was so widespread.
Why are you defending this and trying to distract from the issues with ridiculous talk of smearing? calling sometime on the carpet is not smearing them. asking questions is not smearing.

- Reason: confusing Sira with Sirah, apparently? My apologies to whichever one isn't Nyssa. Sira, I think.
Briz, your witless drivvel is a very poor attempt at distracting people from the issues. Who the hell cares if it was teamspeak or vent or mumble? Valentio has already confirmed that Jellad was present for the discussion, so Jellad is obviously not making it up. Stop trying to distract and smear people or stay out of the discussion.
I missed the post where Nyssa said she is not Valentio, but she posted under a name that isnt Nyssa, and she also posted earlier from a third name, "Sira". What the hell is going on? Why are you posting under all these different accounts, and how are we supposed to believe you're not Valentio when you *are* at least three other people?
