so what you're saying is that they take skill. Cool.

Skill may help you in offense yes, but you yet remain with very little survivability or any kind of defense other than trying to run, which hardly ends well

This should be a wakeup call to EME that they need to either...

a. Put new content in ASAP (Including dungeons and PvP oriented content)
b. Adjust questing system in some shape or form
c. Force group quests to use the LFG tool

While great combat and visuals are an important plus in anyone's book it's proving to not be worthy of hauling the games lack of innovative questing, storyline and structured PvP.

This game has massive potential and can easily outdue even giants such as WoW and Gw2 in the near future however it will surely fail if the developers do not address these issues IMMEDIATELY.

No, it's only a wakeup call for EME that they need to pay IGN like everyone else if they want a good review.

Take a look at GameRankings' TERA scores. The next lowest score for TERA (aside from "DarkStation"...whatever that is) is GameSpot's 7.5 and every other review site gives it an 8.0 or higher. IGN's score is well below the curve.

The 9.1 score on those reviews is titled "Hot Elve, Skimpy Armor, and MMO Action" and it only lists the quests as a con as if it was the only problem. It also largely only addresses the cosmetic appearance of the game and its story as if it was all that great. Not a very good review imo, looks like he spent the majority of his time sloshing over the game features on the box like we all did before actually trying the game.

I honestly have no idea, are they mostly single target damagers? Do they have some CC? Are they basically ranged slayers? What kind of control do they have in terms of staying in range?

They have stacking poison. Single target damagers and weak aoe.

They have constant slow abilities and can leap out of combat with a few moves to gain distance, and a closed ranged stun.

Easily one-shotted in boss fights.

Be ready to suck 1 vs 1 pvp (Haven't seen any good ones in that regard), especially against lancers
Doesn't really matter if its IGN or not, the review is pretty accurate. Can you argue with the points mentioned on it? Be lucky the reviewer didn't reach endgame too, it would've been worst.
I am going to have to agree on the trial part. In fact it is really quite stupid to blow $50 possibly $60 plus a subscription fee without first seeing if you actually like it...it is easy to tell how it intimidates many.

But as someone else said before, this game was just released, new games hardly release with a trial - give it time. I think I remember someone talking about buddy passes but I haven't seen any of that trending
I am going to have to call troll on this one

For those of us who didn't rush to level 60 in a week, we're still enjoying the game.

Nexus and BGs still need to be added, but there still are not enough level 60s to make those aspects of the game enjoyable. Chill out, already.

Not sure if you read the other BG thread but, BGs will NOT be added. They were in fact removed entirely from KTera, so I very much doubt they will implement them here any time soon.

Seems like I predicted all these responses in my first post, you guys don't even care to show how predictable you are. Can you seriously offer no arguments over your angry denial? What exactly will the game do to fix its lack-luster questing?

Because your OP is trollish and self contradictory. On one side you condemn Tera for having terrible gameplay. But then praise its revolutionary combat. You condemn it's questing, when that has never, ever been a selling point to the game. But if the roles were reversed. If Tera had amazing questing, but horrible gameplay. You'd condemn it for that too (even though that's basically GW2). Without understanding that on many levels, many people prefer gameplay > questing, and vice versa. The people who enjoy the questing thing, will likely play GW2.

I just gave some good out of the bad of the game just as any normal person would, no contradictory thing about it. Just because I said "revolutionary combat" doesn't make up for the whole of the game's flaws. I did not say questing was the major selling point of games, but rather some games do have it to the point that you hardly realize you are questing and it is not tedious, rather than groaning when you get another BAM to kill for a quest.

So basicly we have to agree with you or otherwise youll have manipulated us? Mhm. It's a troll.

No, you can give me a reason as to why I am wrong in saying this game has no future.

And to the wave of troll accusations, do your research. This game is indeed dying in Korea, where it was originally released. What retort do you have for that eh?
