In order for Raids to work...collision between players has to be removed. I already have enough of a hard time trying to position with 1 or even 2 people being on the mobs [filtered]. I can't imagine the mess when 5-6 other people are trying to poke things in the mobs [filtered] :P

No they don't lol. L2P friend.

Also the game has a myriad of content, and the path to 60 is already a long one.

If you rush it, sad for you, the rest of us are enjoying 2-3 hours play a day, not our fault if you played for 72 hours straight. The game even tells you to take a break, and the campfires (i believe) are there to force a short break before large encounters, and to break up long instances, if only to make you get out of your chair for a minute or 2.

But if you want to smash through it, accept that, like a car driving down an unfinished motorway, you are eventually going to have to stop, or go offroad.

It's not about L2Pin, its about predicting where the other 5 people are gonna go so you don't get stuck colliding with them.

I'm only 44 and still enjoying. I have a leveling group, well...the 4 of us and we're taking our time.

Anyone know if there is any website that has the locations of the dungeons(instances)? I'm 42 and I have no idea where Necromancer Tomb is.
Yes.

I soloed SM @ 41 and got 2 oranges off the last guy. I never did the story quest for it so I decided to just do it and get the quests out of my quest log. I thought none of the bosses were gonna drop anything, but as it turns out, each boss dropped one blue and the last guy dropped 2 oranges and a blue.

I was surprised.
Any fights. Questing. BAMs. Bossess.

I don't know about you, but most bosses I've seen so far (the 3 instances) don't just stand around. They AOE on the spot, jump back, temporarily switch targets, stomp around and what not.

Plus everyone is still learning how to play the game, so aggro will be pulled. Be it from DPS, even healing aggro.

I'd find it quite boring if it all just was tank and spank.

People don't use Vortex Slash that much, even though its one of our hardest hitting skills, and AoE.

It's not worth using on single target mobs because over all things like Traverse Cut do more damage (the damage per hit adds up to being more than Vortex Slash). You have to waste time using roll or death from above (which means you're not doing damage) while wasting one of your dodge CDs.

It's not really the greatest ability for single target damage unless you're forced to roll. Even then your blade draw should be on CD anyways if you're doing everything right.

If you looked at my fist post, it says when I usually use Vortex Slash. Basically after a Combative > Traverse > Blade Draw Combo and only if Blade Draw is off CD.

Not to mention, usually by the time you are finishing your first C > T > B combo, the mob wants to swing at you.

I've had times where I used Charging Slash > Blade Draw > Roll > Vortex Slash > Blade Draw and the mob was dead, although 60% of my mana was gone.

I'm not trying to argue what combos are more effective than the other. All I'm saying is that in a lot of situations when you need to evade, Vortex Slash into Blade Draw does a lot of dmg in a short period of time.

it does hit hard, but it has a longer animation pause than most abilities giving it an average/low DPS

it has a wider area of effect, but technically every ability is AoE isnt it? or is it omit from the "lower damage when you hit multiple targets" thing?

I does when used by itself but with a blade draw follow up, it doesn't.

Personally I have the Blade Draw DMG and CD glyph equipped.

My rotation is as follows:

1) Combative Strike > Traverse Cut > Blade Draw
*at any point, if Traverse Cut is off CD go back to Step 1
*if CD reset is proced after Blade Draw
2) Death From Above > Vortex Slash > Blade Draw
or
3) Rising Fury > Blade Draw
4) Combative Strike (or Pounce) > Rain of Blows
*in between some of the combos, get some attacks in to keep mana up.
