SWTOR did this as well. IF you purchased a full copy of the game you recieved a certain amount of credits, if you purchased Deluxe you got more, if you renewed your sub you got some as well.

I'm not sure they are giving out EMP because of server troubles but because you bought the copy of Tera and were a valued customer.

I've also gotten Emeralds from strongboxes.

I have a level 28 Sorc I'm trying to xfer, but I get an unavailable message stating it does not meet some level req.

you mean you were one of the only people not playing in the closed beta? It seemed as if everyone and their moms had a key.

If you are truly uncertain with all the information, screenshots, videos and player reviews that are out there it may be best to just wait for tomorrow because you must be very hard to please.

A game where you are hooked into a chair with a gun to your head and the trigger is remotely controlled by your actions in-game. If your health goes to zero BANG. If you run out of money, BANG. If you stop playing, BANG. If you 'win' and get every achievement possible you get a celebratory, BANG. Basically, you die. Super hardcore though.

The amount of rationalization that goes into it is also something to be commended.

They have been advertising that (as a perk) you can reserve your name ahead of other players. Wasn't a secret. Not really stealing anything if it wasn't yours to begin with. 'Begin with' meaning, the game actually has to start for it to count.

Well known fact that Closed Beta characters would be wiped. Stop trying to say what other people should and shouldn't do because you didn't get what you wanted. Its unbelievably stupid.

Edit: What kind of IDIOT would use the name they intend on using through Full Release in a Closed Beta where you had no way of knowing you would keep this name? That sort of stupidity deserves the full weight of reality when someone ends up thinking "hmm I like that name and this person was blasting it around everywhere for the world to like it too....I better take it".

I guess this should be a learning moment for that person. NEVER use your perma name if it isn't 100% reserved for a game yet.
