DottyDots's Post History

I don't know if I would agree on slayers being the derp class. I have come across some pretty bad slayers. But thanks for the info on zerks!
Hey I am not disagreeing that lancer leveling is slow after 52. I have been leveling with one to as a priest... there are points its very painful.

My view point and question were more is anyone else noticing a decline in Slayers?
I am watching 60s and oddly my guild has been covered with several lancers that are 50+. So from my perspective I haven't noticed their being as much of a shortage in the way of lancers. I bump more into them then I do any other class.
So this is something I have noticed since launch and just curious if I am the only one.
I have seen a ton of lancers, sorcerers, mystics, and archers.
Not as many priests or beserkers.

The one class that I find interesting is Slayer. I have oddly not seen as many around at all compared to beta and head start. I am seeing less of them then sorcerers. Am I the only one noticing this?
Awesome job!
I do not view this thread as a waste of my time. I am not attacking EME.

I agree with you that the ToS is set up for them to be able to cover their own skin for certain situations. Which in today's situations with copyright law is smart of them.

The purpose of this thread is to make artists aware before they post/submit for what it can mean for them. Awareness is not a bad thing and if anything can help a community to move forward in a more positive direction.

Just gorgeous!
I can't speak for the other artists, I am speaking for myself (and as the original poster). The whole point of this thread is to make other artists aware before they post.

In regards to what I was discussing on my behalf was not fan art to where I ran into my issue which is when I went to EME for further clarification

Now in regards to fan art:
It is an interesting grey area. What makes it grey is that in a way it does two things.
1) Promotes a company
2) Spreads an artists name

In a round about way an artist is hiring themselves to market a company. Yes, this can be considered copyright infringement. Yet it isn't like a company wants to sue its fan base for being loyal supporters to them. So generally as long as no money is being made over it and it is depicted as being fan art everything can seem okay.

Now there are some companies that are kinder in handling fan art than others. The purpose of this post is to make aware what an artist is facing with this company if they are going to create anything, even if it is fan art. Some communities will respond well if asked in a removal of an image. Others not so much. Each internet forum operates with different moderators and treatment as such.

Some of the outcries are because of how the artists are being treated within this relationship. It is a difficult one. And each community defines that grey area differently.

Not everyone that is an artist reads legalities before creating in order to understand what they are getting themselves into since copyright law itself has undergone its own changes over the past several years.

As I stated originally, you have been forewarned.
I am kinda surprised that Tera doesn't have a game time card out. Hopefully this changes soon in the US.

Hempboy - as the original OP you have made your point, but you have overlooked a point.

First off this post was made to draw attention because of an issue with art that was not fan art related at all. When a problem arose, the artist contacted EME and was linked instantly the ToS - which caused more questions and concerns.

This thread's purpose was to make artists aware of the ToS and issues they may possibly face if they run into problems that may require assistance from EME.
