The problem is that the majority of people who are helpful and don't like the trolling that goes on in general chat have changed to or modified chat window tabs to get them out of general chat channels.

So you need to do as DarkStalka said and ignore chat and use google, or else reconsider joining a guild. Go to the Server Forums and look over the guilds postings on the server you play on. I belong to Kith and Kin on Serpentis Isle and the only requirements our guild has is that you don't create drama in the guild and that you treat all other guild members as friends and relatives. Most of the guilds that post will have websites (K&K is at http://kithandkin.enjin.com/) and you should check them out to see if they are for you.

And you can leave a guild anytime you want if it doesn't work out for you.

^^ This. People complaining about people complaining, lol.

I haven't read the complaining threads that made people feel they needed to counter complain, but I think the main point of this thread is that some of the people here like all leveling just the way it is and some would like it harder. As opposed to others who have said they would like leveling changed in ways that would reduce the time required.

The bottom line is that different people like different things in games. If a game company with a good game can find a way to keep the majority of them happy it becomes a successful MMORPG. If not it becomes a MORPG. So I wish any game company good luck with this genre!

Personally I feel that in a game where a person's and guild's reputation is supposed to matter (Vanarchs and the political system) anything that can be used to modify your character to hide who you were shouldn't even exist, or at the very least be much more expensive than it already is. Which is also why I think ENMasse's policy of not calling out people on the forum is stupid and needs changed.

If you want to be a d***head fine just be ready to accept the consequences of your actions, and not expect to pay a couple of dollars to completely wipe your past away.

I don't agree, but I accept your argument as valid as to why not to have appearance changes in the game because players may use it to not accept responsibility for their actions. But the argument to allow people with extra money to escape but not poorer players just isn't acceptable under that argument.

You guys need to realize, like many fail to do, that these guys DO do this for a living. They understand game design and how their system works far better than most of you do.

Armchair devs need to stop.

But if you've played games other good MMOs you know that good devs also learn from their players. Yes the devs know how to design classes but the players know how they like to play them so the devs usually like to hear how players view classes before they make a lot of changes and find everyone stops playing the class.

Personally I hope if warriors are given more tanking ability lancers will be given more dps ability.
I agree that this is not asking for something free. We are paying and at the end of every sub period we need to decide whether we are getting the value we expect for our subscription dollars. This seems a silly thing for EME to make a paid additional service. A player's dissatisfaction with the way their character looks could definitely eventually translate into a lack of interest in the game.

Basic cosmetic changes to a character's appearance can't make that much impact on development or database services. And I think a lot of us wouldn't pay extra for something as simple as that so I don't get why En Masse would put this in the 'additional fees' bucket.
Tera has the most good looking races to choose from of any MMO, imo. But I've got to go with Aman as my favorite. It's just so easy to make a bad [filtered] looking character with an Aman!
I contributed some Dark Krymail Hauber pics and a pic of Cityslicker Gauntlets and they never showed up on the site so I haven't contributed anything else.

I really like Zam's sites and I've used Wowhead and Torhead a lot in the past. My submissions to Torhead showed up within 24 hours. So maybe there was something unusual that happened this time. They put up a picture of the Hauber on a human several days after I submitted and it looked completely different than it did on my Aman so maybe they thought mine was not a pic of the right item. Or maybe when I used the /point emote to get the Gauntlets they thought I was giving them the finger, lol.

I'll try a few more and see what happens. Because like wowhead and torhead, this could be the goto site for Tera info if we all support it and it is maintained like their other sites.

I liked a lot of the ones that have been around forever. Like the Looney Toons cartoons, Tom and Jerry, Pink Panther, Transformers, and Scooby Doo.

But I'm pretty sure that if I was growing up now, Saturday morning cartoons would have been replaced by MMOs.
When we travel by car we like hotels. But when we travel by motorcycle we camp out.

Tents started getting old so we decided to get a motorcycle trailer to get off the ground/air mattress. Picked up the roll-a-home pop-up trailer. Pop-up gives an enclosed entryway and the pullout gives a king size bed. We love it. Gives us the feeling of a tent with a real bed.
We have cats. We have cats because my wife took pitty on a stray cat with kittens and started putting food on our front porch. That brought a mother skunk and her babies which started living under the front porch. Now we have the cats inside, no food or skunks outside, and a new house!
